Brazil has its first heartbreak of the tournament as 00 Nation lose a well fought elimination match. IHC eSports will go on with a 1-2 record as they await their next opponent.

00 Nation are out

Taco's men have become the first team to lose after going 0-3 in the Challenger Stage. Labeled as the team with the worst first day, 00 Nation's woes have continued with a loss to IHC eSports. After a 3 game match the Brazilian roster completed two 12-3 comebacks in a row, losing both in overtime. A lot of fight was shown, with an atmosphere matching a major final, sadly this was ended as the Mongolian roster completed an upset, silencing the home crowd.

IHC eSports complete the upset

IHC eSports were a team that edged 00 Nation in individual moments with extraordinary performances from Blitz and Techno. 00 Nation did not win handedly however as they took IHC eSports the whole way, with two overtimes being played. IHC eSports are now looking to become regulars in Majors, dethroning Tyloo as the Asian representative. It has now become two consecutive majors in a row where Tyloo has not qualified with IHC eSports qualifying instead.

Young talent show potential

The local roster will not go home with nothing to be happy about however, as the young prospects brought into the roster have shown top class performances. 18 year old talents Eduardo 'dumau' Wolkmer and Santino 'try' Rigal had the best performances in their team. These players have proven that the Brazilian scene has more to come, as new talent is coming through to take the torch from previous legends like TACO and Coldzera.

Brazil is not going out quietly

We are now starting to see the effect this crowd would bring, fueling the local talent to keep going further. Brazilian anthems, Vuvuzelas and local jerseys fill the arenas and are creating atmospheres we have been missing. As time goes on we will hope to keep hearing this crowd at its loudest.

This means that 2 Brazilian teams remain with Imperial later playing against Cloud 9 in another elimination match. Furia however are back on target to reaching the Legends Stage after beating OG in overtime. As the tournament goes on the local fans will be watching and praying for their teams to start performing.
