Every year, one of the most exciting parts of the TI battle pass is the Dota 2 Collector’s Cache. A number of community designed skins are voted for by those who have bought the battle pass and the most popular ones make it into the game.

The winners are finally in and the Dota 2 Collector’s Cache for the 2022 battle pass has been revealed! Over 128 skins made it through to the community voting stage but only eighteen of the skins have come out on top and been added to the cache itself.

Heroes who got new skins - new heroes abound!

It’s been two weeks since the cache contenders were added to the battle pass in game. It was simply a case of “liking” or “disliking” as many or as few of the skins as possible. Of course with any voting event, there are some disappointments here but a lot of the most heralded skins online made it through. Here are all of the heroes who have new skins in the Dota 2 Collector’s Cache:

  • Hoodwink
  • Riki
  • Snapfire
  • Chen
  • Clockwerk
  • Dawnbreaker
  • Spectre
  • Faceless Void
  • Ursa
  • Phoenix
  • Terrorblade
  • Undying
  • Monkey King
  • Witch Doctor
  • Marci
  • Invoker
  • Primal Beast
  • Tiny.

While it seems kind of weird that yet another Faceless Void skin made it through despite the fact that he just got an arcana in the second half of the battle pass, fans will be pleased to see some underappreciated heroes with skins. At least we can say we don’t have a fifth Crystal Maiden skin!

While some may be particularly disappointed that the Snapire snail skin didn’t make the cut, the fact that she now has a crocodile skin that doesn’t cost a comparatively huge amount of money is very good news. The same goes for Phoenix, who has long been neglected in the world of skins. It’s also the first time Marci has had a skin added since her inception. This Dota 2 Collector’s Cache has certainly delivered!

How to get the skins from the Dota 2 Collector’s Cache

As is always the case, fans can’t simply buy their favorite skins from the cache. It’s actually kind of difficult to get a particular skin with 18 of them to choose from, especially Primal Beast’s rare skin and Tiny’s ultra rare.

After buying the chest for a couple of dollars each, fans have to wait in anticipation of what they’ll receive. To sweeten the deal a little bit, Valve have thrown in battle pass levels for opening the cache chests for a total of 36,000 battle points, which is always going to be welcomed by those looking to grind out the Crystal Maiden, Phantom Assassin, Razor and Faceless Void arcanas and personas!
