Valorant is set to introduce a new game mode called Team Deathmatch as part of Episode 7 Act 1, launching on June 27. This mode will feature two teams competing across three new maps, with the goal of being the first to reach 100 kills. The gameplay follows the traditional team deathmatch format, where players respawn almost instantly after death and the first team to get to 100 kills wins.

How it Works:

One of the unique aspects of Valorant's Team Deathmatch is the progression through four different stages during the nine and a half minute match. Players can select their weapon loadout before the match starts or update it upon respawning. However, as each stage begins, the loadout is automatically upgraded, preventing players from exclusively using the most powerful weapons throughout the entire game. This system encourages players to adapt their strategies and also allows them to improve their skills with different weapon types.

Economy management, which is a key aspect of the standard Valorant matches, is not present in the Team Deathmatch mode. This means players cannot purchase abilities and instead have them available with cooldown timers. Ultimate abilities can be earned through kills and by picking up ultimate orbs placed on the maps.

Skill issues:

To maintain a fair and skill-based gameplay experience, recovery orbs are introduced. These will restore players' health and provide a shield after a fight. These orbs allow players to engage in multiple battles within a single life, preventing unfair encounters.

Riot Games, the developer of Valorant, designed the Team Deathmatch mode to emphasize combat-centric gameplay. This will allow players to showcase their creativity and mechanical skill. While it may not challenge the standard Valorant experience as the most dominant game mode, it serves as a great warm-up activity. And a way to practice aim, and a more relaxed yet competitive addition to the game.

New Maps:

The Team Deathmatch mode will be launched alongside Valorant Episode 7 Act 1. It will feature three custom-built maps specifically designed for this mode. These maps include Piazza, which features an open mid with higher ground areas. District, with a long lane and a horseshoe-shaped building. And Kasbah, an arena-style map with multiple connections to the middle.

The Plot:

The narrative behind the Team Deathmatch mode in Valorant revolves around a character named Maxbot, who is the creator of this game mode. In the game's lore, the Valorant agents defeat Maxbot in a previous cinematic, and as a result, he seeks revenge by trapping them in a battle arena of his own design.

Overall, Valorant's Team Deathmatch mode offers a refreshing twist on the classic gameplay format. Allowing players to enjoy fast-paced combat, showcase their skills. And have a more casual yet competitive experience within the game.
