The first week of LEC Winter 2024 is currently underway and is already setting viewership records. The two days of the winter split recorded a 644K peak viewer, breaking the 2023 Winter Split’s record by 100K.

The LEC winter split 2024 has started extremely well in terms of viewership. Compared to the 2023 split’s 271K average viewers, the 2024 season has almost double the count with 400k, making the first week more successful than the 2023 season.

Karmine Corp's Debut set's Day 1 record:

On day 1, multiple big names clashed in the Summoner’s Rift with the debut of the French Karmine Corp that set the record for the peak viewers with a count of 617991, comfortably breaking the previous season records.

A big part of the viewers come from Karmine Corp’s French fan base that actively supports the home grown organization. While they lost their game to Fnatic, the debut was the highlight of day 1.

MAD Lion KOI and Karmine Corp dominate day 2 viewership

From one fandom to another, the Spaniards also congregated to rally behind MAD Lions KOI who won their opening game against Team Heretics but lost to SK Gaming on day 2. The MLK - SK Gaming broke the KC-FNC record on day 2.

The following game between G2 and Karmine, exceeded the expectations breaking the previous games record with 644501 peak viewers. Karmine lost their second game of week 1 after losing to G2 Esports.

The strong viewership brought in by Karmine has officially taken LEC to a newer height, with the season starting really strong, it’d be interesting to see how well the season fares.

The final day of LEC Winter 2024 Week 1 will kick off today at 05:00 PM CET. The final day will feature MAD Lions KOI taking on Karmine Corp, two of the biggest most active fan bases and will hopefully sets another record for week 1.

You can follow the game on Twitch and on Strafe.
