Recap and Match Analysis

Ex-HR and Talon

Both Ex-HellRaisers and Talon Esports had a tough day yesterday. Both these teams lost 0-2 in the respective groups. Ironically both teams took the top spot in their Regional Qualifiers for the Berlin Major with a perfect 7-0 score. But it is only the second day. Let's see if both of these teams can make a comeback.

Execration vs. Ex-HellRaisers

This series went the way of Execration. Ex-HR were expected to win or at least tie the score. But, XctN got the better of them. Their Rubick pick in both games helped the team a lot, especially in game 1 with 29 Assists.

Gaimin Gladiators vs. Entity

Gaimin Gladiators still holds power over most of the European teams. Taking a 2-0 victory in this series even before the 30-minute mark in both games proves that. Their drafts in both games were completely different, showing off their versatility. This does not seem to stop them from taking over the game very early on.

Team Aster vs. Execration

Being the only team representing the Chinese region, Aster has a lot of weight to carry. They can manage against some of the top teams. Aster will still face elimination if they don't continue to win games after this. Winning this series 2-0 puts them in a tough tie-breaker position.

EG vs. Ex-HR

EG is doing very well in its group, taking up first place. They took their second 2-0 victory with this series. EG is also showing they can be a versatile team, they won both games after the 30-minute mark. With this pace, EG could be one of the top 3 contenders in this tournament.

Team Spirit vs. Talon Esports

These two teams last faced off at the Lima Major, with Talon eliminating Spirit from the tournament. It might not be much, but Spirit got their revenge with a 2-0 victory this time. These TI champs are trying their best to stay on top of the scoreboard.

Nigma Galaxy vs. Talon Esports

"Is Nigma back ?" is the question that was constantly being asked during this match. Miracle- showed up big time during this series, on his famous Anti-Mage and Slark. They played this series in TI7 style, giving Miracle- all the freedom he needs. And he gave back with an 18-minute Rampage as Anti-Mage. In the second series, Talon was able to hold on with 23savage's Terror Blade. However, Nigma's team fight was too much for Talon.
