In a surprising turn of events, DJ Carzzy, formerly of MAD Lions, is set to embark on a new chapter in his career. He is set to join Team Vitality for the upcoming LEC season, according to sources. The talented AD Carry, also known as Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság, reached a verbal agreement with the LEC organization. Thus opting for a fresh start after a year with MAD Lions.

After being granted the opportunity to explore options by MAD Lions during the off-season, Carzzy attracted interest from notable LEC teams. Including Fnatic and Team BDS. Fnatic, having pursued Carzzy for the second consecutive year, aimed to pair him with Support Yoon "Jun" Se-joon for their 2024 roster. However, Carzzy declined. Which led to Fnatic selecting AD Carry Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek.

Unexpected Choice: Carzzy Opts for Vitality

Choosing Vitality over other offers, Carzzy's decision may be influenced by the prospect of joining forces with Support Zdravets "Hylissang" Galabov once again. Additionally, the reunion with the former MAD Lions coaching staff might have played a role in this unexpected move. Carzzy and Hylissang, formerly of MAD Lions, experienced a triumphant yet challenging year in 2023. Despite facing adversity, they consistently ranked among the top players in the LEC. Thus contributing significantly to MAD Lions' success, including their appearance at Worlds 2023.

Team Vitality, after a lackluster performance in the previous year, is looking to revitalize itself for the 2024 season. Carzzy's arrival brings experience and a proven track record of success, adding a dynamic element to the team's roster. While Carzzy began his pro career with MAD Lions in 2020, his move to Team Vitality marks a new beginning rather than a return. The AD Carry played with the French organization during the 2022 season before rejoining MAD Lions at the start of 2023.
