Blast.tv Paris Major Preview : The Final Teams in the Final CSGO Major

As the European RMR B ended on 15th April 2023, the final teams for the Blast.tv Paris Major have been finalized. 24 of the top teams in the world will go head-to-head to claim the coveted title of the Major, join the ranks of other Major Champions. And to top it off, to win the last CSGO Major.

The Format:

  • The Challengers Stage: May 8th - 11th, 2023
    • 16 Team Swiss System Format
      • Elimination and Advancement matches are Bo3
      • All other matches are Bo1
    • Top 8 Teams proceed to The Legends Stage
    • Bottom 8 Teams are eliminated
  • The Legends Stage: May 13th - 16th, 2023
    • 16 Team Swiss System Format
      • Elimination and Advancement matches are Bo3
      • All other matches are Bo1
    • Top 8 Teams proceed to The Champions Stage
    • Bottom 8 Teams are eliminated
  • The Champions Stage: May 18th - 21st, 2023
    • Single-Elimination bracket
    • All matches are Bo3

The Teams:

24 teams have qualified for the Major. Out of these, 8 have managed to top their respective RMRs, and claim the spot in the Legends stage. The rest of the 16 will have to play through the Challengers Stage.

We will take a look at the teams in a tier list of sorts, based on the results of the RMRs. We will see who will have the most chances to claim the Major trophy, and who is going to bow out first.

C-tier: The Underperformers

These teams have not managed to impress people in the RMRs. They have just managed to qualify, and have a hard road ahead of them in the tournament.

These teams are:

  1. Faze Clan
  2. MOUZ
  3. ENCE
  4. The Mongolz
  5. Ninjas in Pyjamas
  6. OG

B-tier: The Underdogs

The underdogs of the Major, these teams have beaten all odds and made their way into the most prestigious tournament of the year. They have a lot to prove, and very little to lose. If they are successful, they will cement their names along with some of the best teams in the world.

These teams are:

  1. Bad News Eagles
  2. Gamer Legion
  3. Apeks
  4. Fluxo
  5. Monte
  6. Grayhound Gaming

A-tier: The Hard hitters

Some of the best teams in the world, these teams have seen the big stage countless number of times, and have even come close to glory on multiple occasions. They are going to play with everything they’ve got, and put everything on the line to lift that trophy in Paris.

These teams are:

  1. Team Vitality
  2. Fnatic
  3. Complexity Gaming
  4. 9INE
  5. Into the Breach
  6. Forze

S-tier: The Favorites

The top teams, the ones with everything to lose. These teams are considered as the best in the world, and will have to bring their complete arsenal to make sure that this status does not  budge.

These teams are:

  1. Natus Vincere
  2. Heroic
  3. paiN Gaming
  4. Furia
  5. Team Liquid
  6. G2 Esports

The Blast.tv Paris Major will start from the 8th of May 2023, and will be the last CSGO Major to ever be held. All these teams will be fighting for the coveted title. Neither of these teams can be counted out of the competition, as upsets and comebacks can happen. But to find out, we will have to wait and watch.
