Ace: "We were in full chaos before this patch"
Gaimin Gladiators came out swinging in the new Dota 2 patch. The team took down Nigma Galaxy 2-1, with a convincing performance in game 3. After the series concluded, Marcus "Ace" Christensen had a quick interview to share his thoughts on the new patch, new teammate, and which hero he hoped to see back.
Dota 2 patch 7.39 is the latest update to the game and has significantly shook up the meta scene. With later Tormentor timing, map changes, and massive hero rebalances.
Ace: "I don't really feel like there are very hype new heroes"

The talk around the town right now is the new update and how people feel about it. Neal "Tsunami" Khandheria wasted no time asking Ace what he thinks about the new patch.
"I mean I'm very hyped about the new patch we've been waiting for. but I think actual offlane heroes, not too many big changes. Some heroes got killed but I don't really feel like there are very hype new heroes. I just played Axe but realistically the changes were very minimal, like five damage to something. So nothing too big for me to cook on yet, which I would have liked."
Gaimin Gladiators did well against Nigma Galaxy but it has overall been a disappointing season for the once dominant squad. Apar from a second place finish in Fissure Universe 4 and Blast Slam II, Gaimin has hovered in the 9-12 spot for most tournaments.
Ace addressed his team's uneven performance, and stated the patch came at a good time for them, "We were in full chaos before this. We own one game and think we are back, then lose the next and fall into despair. So I think it's a good little shakeup for the boys."
The instability around the team caused some changes, with two long time players leaving Gaimin Gladiators. The team seems to be finding their footing, and their offlaner had only positive things to say about Arman "Malady" Orazbayev.
" [He's] Super good, super chill. Everyone is having a good time. We've been watching movies in the evening and stuff. Yesterday we were watching a movie and halfway into it the patch dropped."

Everyone hopes their favorite heroes get buffed in a new patch while their hated match-ups get nerfed into the ground and pros are no different. For Ace it's Brewmaster, who he has a 60%+ win rate with.
"Yeah I mean, they killed Brew pretty hard in the offlane, and I was kinda hoping they bring him back a bit but they didn't really do it this time."
Brew may not be back yet, but Gaimin Gladiators is looking like they are on the right track. Be sure to catch them live for the reminder of the DreamLeague Season 26 group stage.
