5 Things That Shocked Us in OG's Documentary
OG's Documentary in partnership with PARI offers a behind-the-scenes look at the team during the period between ESL One Bangkok and BLAST Slam I. Unlike most pro Dota documentaries that highlight triumphs, this one captures the team at a low point.
Since winning their second International, OG has faced a slow and painful decline. Despite multiple roster changes in the past year, the team has struggled to find synergy. Here are five powerful moments from the documentary that stood out, shedding light on what really happened behind closed doors.
Sometimes Doing Something Else Is the Way
At around 10 minutes and 24 seconds into the video, we see the team attending what appears to be a pottery class. For driven, hyper-focused pro players, stepping away from the game can feel uncomfortable.
Johan "N0tail" Sundstein reflects on this, saying some of the most valuable things he took from pro Dota weren’t about Dota at all. We also get a glimpse of Leon "Nine" Kirilin’s personality when he admits he doesn’t like "uneven things" — referencing his imperfect clay pot.

Wisper is Very Introverted
In the early part of OG's documentary, everyone is speaking — except Adrián "Wisper" Dobles. While it might seem like a minor observation, Wisper appears withdrawn throughout the film.
His reserved nature seemed to work against him, particularly after the team's loss in the ESL One Bangkok qualifiers. He was so frustrated, he skipped his own birthday barbecue to grind matchmaking games — possibly as a way to redeem himself.

BLAST Slam Broke OG's Spirit
The second half of OG's documentary focuses on the team’s experience at BLAST Slam I. OG went 0–4 in the Group Stage and faced Team Falcons in the playoffs.
Technical issues plagued the match, resulting in a full remake using the same draft. N0tail called the game “cursed” from that moment forward, explaining that repeating a draft under those conditions is always a mistake.

N0Tail Wanted To Talk To Wisper Before He Left
The final five minutes of OG's documentary are emotionally charged. Around the 31-minute mark, N0tail reveals that he never had the chance to speak with Wisper before he left to join Heroic.
Earlier in the video, N0tail had shared his belief that Wisper doesn't just play Dota because he enjoys it, but also as a form of escapism. He adds that Wisper seems so determined to win that he’s willing to neglect his own well-being in the process.

KheZu and the Challenge of Making Things Easy
Near the end of the documentary, Maurice "KheZu" Gutmann speaks openly about the dysfunction within the team. He says it felt like everyone was making things harder for each other, rather than working together to simplify the game.
This prompts Nine to express his frustration, saying he constantly felt pulled into fights when all he wanted was space to farm — and things only got worse from there. But the most striking part of the conversation comes from KheZu’s simple, yet powerful statement:
"I want our games to be easy, not hard. So I think we should address it and talk about it."
