VALORANT Champions 2026 recorded the third-highest peak viewership in competitive VALORANT history. According to Esports Charts, the world championship held in Shanghai, China, reached 1,491,483 concurrent viewers during the Grand Final between LOUD and Team Vitality on Sunday (October 18).

The event also recorded the highest peak viewership of any VALORANT tournament in 2026. With its second world title, LOUD has now appeared in three of the five most-watched finals in the game's history.

The Five Most-Watched VALORANT Tournaments of All Time

Masters Madrid 2024 remains at the top of the rankings, with more than 1.68 million concurrent viewers. Champions Istanbul 2022, where LOUD won its first world title, sits in second place.

Here are the five tournaments with the highest peak viewership figures, according to Esports Charts:

  1. Masters Madrid 2024: 1,687,842 viewers
  2. Champions Istanbul 2022: 1,505,804 viewers
  3. Champions Shanghai 2026: 1,491,483 viewers
  4. Champions Paris 2025: 1,473,642 viewers
  5. LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023: 1,443,103 viewers

LOUD competed in the finals of Champions 2022, Champions 2026, and LOCK//IN 2023. The Brazilian organization won both Champions titles but finished as runner-up to Fnatic at the tournament held in São Paulo.

These figures exclude broadcasts on Chinese streaming platforms, meaning the tournaments' actual viewership may have been higher than the reported numbers.

LOUD's 3-1 victory over Team Vitality was the only match at Champions 2026 to surpass one million concurrent viewers. The tournament's second most-watched match also featured the Brazilian team.

In the upper bracket quarterfinals, LOUD's match against Paper Rex peaked at 886,656 viewers. The match between T1 and Paper Rex followed with 781,892 viewers.

Across all international VALORANT tournaments in 2026, Champions also surpassed Masters London, which had recorded a peak of 1,071,916 concurrent viewers.

Portuguese-Language Viewership Grew by Nearly 90%

One of the biggest highlights of the report was the growth in Portuguese-language broadcasts. According to Esports Charts, peak viewership for streams in Portuguese increased by 89.18% compared to Champions 2025, an edition in which LOUD did not compete.

However, despite the increase in overall peak viewership and Portuguese-language audiences, other metrics declined compared to the previous year.

Champions 2026 generated approximately 38.3 million hours watched and averaged 383,530 viewers. In comparison, the 2025 edition recorded 46.3 million hours watched and an average of 453,528 viewers.

While the 2026 Grand Final attracted a larger peak audience, both average viewership and total hours watched were lower than in 2025.

Champions 2026 took place from September 24 to October 18, featuring 16 teams. Alongside its second world championship title, LOUD earned $1 million in prize money.
