Upper Bracket Woes : VCT Americas Playoffs Day 2 Recap
As they Upper Bracket Finals of VCT Americas took place on the 25th of May, 2 teams have moved one step closer to the Grand Finals, while the other 2 will have to make the Losers Bracket Run to survive in the tournament.
Game 1: LOUD vs Furia
Furia were not able to get the best of their South American brethren this time, as LOUD took the series 2-0.

LOUD had quite the dominant run on both maps. Starting off with Haven, they ended the first half 9-3 off the back of a stellar Attacking side. But there was no curse for them this time, as they only gave away one more round in the second half, and ended the map 13-4.
It was a similar story on Ascent. Even though Furia started off with 2 round wins, LOUD pulled out a 9 round win streak on their Attacking side again, to end the half 9-3. And just like last time, there was no curse to be seen. Furia again managed to take the first two rounds of the half, before LOUD won the map 16-5.
Game 2: Cloud9 vs Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniuses are enjoying a Cinderella run of sorts, as they managed to beat Cloud9 2-0 in their matchup.

Ascent remains
EG had a good start on Fracture. They managed to take the first half 8-4 on their Defensive side. Cloud9 were left looking for answers. The blue outfit could only manage 1 more round in the second half, before EG took the map 13-5.
Bind was a very dominant affair for EG, as they beat the no. 2 squad in the league in a commanding 13-2 scoreline. Only allowing Cloud9 to take 2 rounds on their Defensive side, EG ended the first half 10-2. EG then won 3 rounds straight in the second half, as they won the map and the series.
LOUD and Evil Geniuses will face each other in the Upper Bracket Grand Finals. While Cloud9 and Furia will have to face Leviatan and NRG respectively in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals to survive in the Playoffs.
