RAD LIONS return to Valorant: Mad Lions acquire the Dark Ratio Valorant squad

The Valorant Challengers League North America split 1 will kick off this week. The tournament will feature a total of twelve teams. Knights, the Tournament Organisers, Invited six of the playing twelve teams. The rest of the six teams qualified their way through the intense Qualifiers. Out of the six qualified teams, Two F/A teams fought and qualified for the tournament without an organization supporting them. The Spanish Esports Organisation Mad Lions acquired Dark Ratio, one of the two F/A teams.

Dark Ratio made an impressive run at the Valorant Challengers League NA qualifiers, qualifying through the Open Qualifier stage. The Dark Ratio squad features Drone, Will, Trick, Ange, and ZexRow. Over Active Media announced the acquisition today on Twitter along with the Press release.

Mad Lions is already acquainted with Riot Games, as they field a League Roster. OverActive Media also fields a CSGO team.

Mad lions first ventured into Valorant with Brodie, Kray, Polvi, XMS, and Doma. The team needed to secure a strong finish at the VRL France. The team disbanded in September to find better offers.

In the press release announcing Dark Ratio, Adam Adamou, the Chief Strategy Officer of OverActive Media Media, says:

"We're thrilled to join this exclusive group of talented players and notable organizations for the NA League's inaugural season. VALORANT is today's fastest-growing esport1 and we're proud to have made it through the competition."

With the Dark Ratio acquisition, the Mad Lions squad will be as follows:

  • Adam "Ange" Milian
  • Justin "Trick" Sears (IGL)
  • Taylor "drone" Johnson
  • Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro
  • William "Will" Cheng
  • Jornen "MoonChopper" Nishiyama (Head Coach)

The Mad Lions will face TSM in the NA Challengers League Group stage matchup two days from now.
