Times are getting dire for each team in Western Europe with only a few matches left. While some teams are trying all they can to secure the remaining 3 slots for the upcoming Lima Major, some are trying with all their might to not get relegated for the next DPC Tour.

As the day commences, fans enthusiastically keep a close eye on the action as they were presented with a series of delightful upsets.

Team Liquid Vs OG

The series between Liquid Vs OG was an entertaining series to watch. Liquid had already qualified for the Major but OG needed to win this series to qualify. Regarding that note, OG came into the series with a plan.

Game 1 lasted an astonishing hour and 7 minutes as neither team backed down trading blows against one another. With a hard carry Sniper draft, OG tried to defend their high ground as Team Liquid slowly chipped away objective after objective forcing OG to defend against mega creeps.  A crucial mistake made OG’s midlane Batrider at 1 hr 4 minutes was sufficient for Team Liquid to close the game out.

In game 2, OG came back swinging with a safelane Lina closing out game 2 at 36 minutes. However, Team Liquid completely stomped OG in game 3 denying OG of their Lima Major ticket.

Tundra Vs Gaimin Gladiators

Everyone thought current Ti champs could win against Gaimin Gladiators although Gaimin Gladiators were showing signs of promise.

However, the series turned out to be a huge upset in the WEU Winter Tour as the current Ti champions got completely demolished by Gaimin Gladiators in swift back-to-back games. Gaimin Gladiators went through the Ti champions to secure their slot for the upcoming Lima Major.

Team Secret Vs Nigma Galaxy

Team Secret against Nigma Galaxy was the most anticipated series for the day as the loser of the series would be relegated and the winner would get to stay in Division I for the next DPC Tour.

Nigma Galaxy drafted a midlane Keeper Of The Light backed by a hardcarry Razor and offlane Nature’s prophet. Nigma Galaxy played a fast-paced game against Team Secret and they were able to close out the game at 37 minutes with a score of 29 -10 and a 30K net-worth lead.

Even though Team Secret drafted a Lina draft for game 2, Nigma Galaxy played the same style of game as game 1 focusing on their strengths and playing a fast-tempo game across the map, giving little to no space for Team Secret’s Lina to farm. Nigma Galaxy eventually close out game 2 at 36 minutes with a score of 11-31 and a net-worth lead of 35K gold.
