The longest-standing CSGO roster, Gambit/Cloud9, will be looking to change the roster ahead of the 2023 Competitive season. The Russian team will be looking to replace rifler Timofey "Interz" Yakushin, as confirmed by CIS Insider and HLTV. The team will look at Sanji, Buster and Forester as the possible replacement for the Russian rifler.

Nafany, Ax1le, Interz, Sh1ro and Supra started playing together as Gambit Youngsters in 2019. In 2020, Hobbit joined the roster and was promoted to Gambit's main roster. With the veteran presence of Hobbit, the roster made huge strides. The new Gambit roster won the IEM Masters XV, IEM Masters Summer, and Blast Spring Finals 2021 in 2021.

They become one of the best teams in the CIS region, beating NaVi multiple times. The team placed 3rd-4th at PGL Major Stokholm after a loss to the eventual winner NAVI. The winning streak continued after the major as the team won V4 Future Esports Festival and placed second at the Blast World Finals. The results made the group one of the best teams in 2021.

Cloud9 was on a CSGO hiatus, but the Russian roster marked their return to CSGO Esports. Under the C9 banner, the roster won the IEM XVII Dallas but had a disappointing finish in both CSGO majors. They were still consistently amongst the top team, but the major runs have been disappointing.

With the team trying to get results, Cloud9 has decided to make changes by replacing Interz. The possible replacements for the rifler are Sanji, Buster and Forester. Sanji and Buster were part of the Virtus Pro and AVANGAR roster and were amongst the top CIS alongside JAME and Qikert. Forester is an upcoming Russian rifler currently playing for Entropiq. If the changes are confirmed, it will mark the end of the longest standing rosters in CSGO.
