#GOBLEED: BLEED win the Skyesports SEA Championship 2022

The Skyesports SEA championship 2022 concluded today, with BLEED claiming the trophy. Facing Made in Thailand in the finals, BLEED won the series 3-1 after losing the first match. BLEED won a total prize of $15,000. 

 

Skyesports SEA Championship 2022 Quarterfinals:


The playoffs of the Skyesports SEA Championship featured four teams in total. These teams were BLEED, Made in Thailand, God Squad, and Velocity gaming. The opening matches featured BLEED taking on God Squad and Made in Thailand taking on Velocity Gaming.

Made in Thailand 2-0 Velocity Gaming: 


The SEA first seed took on India #2 in the opening match of the Skyesports SEA championship playoffs. Made in Thailand outclassed Velocity Gaming winning the maps 13-8, 13-6 to reach the upper finals.

BLEED 2-0 God Squad:


In the second SEA vs. India match-up, we got BLEED taking on God Squad (Global Esports Roster) and dominated them 13-4, 13-7 to win the series 2-0.

Made in Thailand 0-2 BLEED:


Both the SEA teams clashed in the Upper Finals, and the match-up was very close. On MiTH's map pick, BLEED came back after 9-7 to win the game 13-10. In the second half, Both teams held firm, leading to overtime. In the overtime, Bleed edged out MiTH to secure Grand Finals.

Velocity Gaming 1-2 God Squad:


The game was the most contested tournament, with the series going the distance. Starting on Pearl, God Squad managed to edge out their Indian Rivals to win the first map 13-11. In the second map, Velocity answered with a decisive 13-7 win on Bind. The final map started going in God Squad's favor, and the team won the last game 13-9 to win the series. This series concludes the South Asian region's biggest rivalry. Both teams and players gave it their all till the end.

Made in Thailand 2-0 God Squad: 


After defeating their rivals, God Squad faced Made in Thailand and was demolished on the first map losing the map 6-13. The MiTH dominance only continued when the MiTH won the second map 13-3 to win the series 2-0 to face BLEED in the grand finals.

Grand Finals - BLEED vs. MiTH: 


Starting on Breeze, MiTH and BLEED exchanged blows to close the first half on 6-6. On defense, MiTH pulled ahead, winning their map pick 13-8.

BLEED dominated MiTH in the first half of Icebox, winning the half 9-3. They capitalized on the six-round lead to win the game 13-9.

Haven's first half favored MiTH but BLEED quickly closed the gap to win the third map going 2-1 in the series.

On series point, BLEED struggled initially on Ascent but converted the first half into an advantageous 8-4. MiTH started strong in the second half but could not close on the lead, thus losing the map 10-13.

BLEED closed the series 3-1, winning the Skyesports SEA Championship and taking home a total prize of $15000. Coming into VCT Challengers 2023 APAC, BLEED will be among the top teams and likely be the team to beat in the region.
