When we started this Vave review, we wanted to find out if this was ‘just’ another new crypto casino. We found there was more to Vave than meets the eye, and as a result, we rated it very highly.
The bonuses for sports and especially casino are real head-turners, backed with a VIP program that unlocks further bonuses for players. Plenty of thought has gone into building an intuitive site that is another standout part of the experience. This is topped off with support that provides extra knowledge for those going into crypto betting for the first time.
The bonus is one of the main reasons why people join an online casino and sportsbook so they need to be impressive. This is true of both the offers here, but we have to say the casino bonus slightly edges it for us. You’ll get to decide for yourself when you sign-up, as it is the first decision you make after initial registration. And there is no need to enter a Vave bonus code. The minimum deposit for both sports and casino bonuses is $20.
The details are covered in more depth in our full bonus review, but in a nutshell, both offer a 100% deposit match up to 1 BTC for your initial deposit. Although, as you might expect, that is where the similarity ends. The sports bonus is not awarded upfront, but after you have placed one or more qualifying bets. You are then given a free bet equal to your deposit to use in 7 days.
There is a little more to the casino bonus, mostly because it comes with a follow-up bonus for your second deposit. The first part is a 100% match up to 1 BTC with a hefty 40x playthrough, and the second is a 50% match up to 0.5 BTC with the same playthrough requirements. There are also free spins awarded (100 and 50 respectively) as part of a very attractive deal for those who wish to stay for the long term. It is clear that Vave.com isn't focused on those who want to come in and try and make the most of the best online casino bonuses and then move on.
Something it is evident they are focused on though, is the customer experience as is among the best we have found at online casinos. The layout is based not just on other well-designed casinos and sportsbooks, it also has elements that you would find outside the industry.
This means that new players will be able to find their account details at the top, and the T&Cs at the bottom, as they would be on many retail sites. More experienced players will be as pleased as we were to find all of the key areas for withdrawals and deposits easy to use and all accessed from that main account area.
This is taken on further when using the site for placing a bet, which follows the same process as most other sportsbooks but could be worked out easily by anyone using it for the first time. Finding games in the casino area is also a breeze as they are broken down by type and provider, so it won’t take long for a new player to find a favourite.
Support options are easy to spot from the live chat in the corner of the screen or the link to the FAQ section nestled in the left-hand menu. Overall, this is pretty much on par with everything we found in our Stake.com review, putting it right near the top of the pile.
One thing we were worried might affect this position was the lack of an app for either sports or casino on any type of device. We were expecting to see one, given the experience so far, but a quick inquiry with customer support confirmed that none was available.
While this may be bad news to anyone who does almost everything on their phone, there is also some very good news as well. As part of this Vave review, we put the mobile site through its paces, and it came through with top marks. Finding everything on the adjusted layout was just as easy as the desktop version, as was placing a bet and finding games. So while there is currently no app, its absence doesn’t have to be a deal breaker for anyone wanting to play or bet from their phone.
Another area that got a lot of attention from this Vave review was the payment options available here. As a crypto casino, to get the nod of approval from us Vave would have to have resources to inform those who are relatively new to cryptocurrency and have options for people with no Bitcoin or any other currency to get started. Both of these areas are covered, so those with conventional fiat methods only can buy currency and claim the bonus.
Payments are, as we found in our Cloudbet review, swift and should take less than 10 minutes to appear in your account. The withdrawal options also include fiat options, some of which take up to 3 days, but anything going to your e-wallet should be there in under 10 minutes. If it takes any longer than this, you should look to customer support for guidance.
Of course, if you feel money is going astray, you’ll want quick answers, in which case your first port of call should be the live chat option. This impressed us not just because it was quick, but because there was a human being providing the answers and not some chatbot.
Email also scored highly. While it was not as quick with our reply taking a couple of hours to come through for a simple inquiry, it looks to be the perfect medium for longer queries. There is no telephone support, but with response times from these other two methods, it hardly seems necessary.
Most simple queries, though, won’t get that far. There is an FAQ section that covers the basics of most operations, so your answers, most of the time at least, are just a couple of clicks away. This is all available in 18 different languages and underlines further the focus that Vave has on customer experience, and it gets another tick from this Vave review.
Another area that got a nod of approval is regarding their licence, which is issued by Curacao and valid for many territories worldwide. You will have to check to see if Vave is legit where you are, as while they are fully licensed, different areas have different legislation in place.
As Vave is new among the betting sites in Canada, there is no stock market listing, or awards displayed next to the licence details at the bottom of the screen. This was not a problem as we weren't expecting to see anything at this early stage. We were expecting to see age verification in place, and this is carried out when you join up.
The next thing we needed to verify was what was on offer once you had finished using the bonus for both sports and casino. We mentioned earlier in this Vave review that the operator wasn’t into bonus jumpers, and that was illustrated further by what we found here.
While it is called a VIP club, it has just as much in common with a loyalty program, as you rack up points while you wager, in increments of 20 USDT. You start at the bottom as soon as you enroll, and there are 18 levels of progression for casino and 7 for sports. We were worried this might be a complicated affair but instead, these levels mostly indicate the size of the additional; bonus you get credited to your account as you progress.
This bonus is in cryptocurrency and needs to be wagered before withdrawal, but provides a simple reward for players. As the early thresholds are quite low, you won’t be racking up points forever with nothing to show for it either. There are other VIP benefits for the higher levels, which include VIP customer service and bespoke rewards.
Many bettors won’t veer far from the well-trodden path to the major markets of the major sports and don’t worry, those have all of the depth you would find anywhere else.
At Vave you also get some more niche markets, like over 100 options for a women's cricket franchise competition in New Zealand, which we were pleased to find, but weren’t expecting.
We did however, have to limit our odds checks to the more major markets and found them to be pretty much identical to what we found elsewhere. With no evidence of promotional odds, either this one area where Vave does not outstrip the competition. If you want to compare any yourself, you can toggle between 6 different odds formats in your user settings.
Live streaming accompanies live betting across much of the Vave eSports roster, and other live events like ATP and WTA tennis. We also saw European soccer matches as well, but not any of those you would typically find on subscription television. The markets are as wide-ranging as those for pre-match betting, with no delays in evidence when placing a bet - although this could vary for you according to your location and device.
There are no Vave reviews with stories of bettors being limited, but those who don’t feel they are in control can set their own. This can be done in cooperation with customer support, where you can limit your spending and losses.
Vave.com have, with the one exception of odds, exceeded expectations in every part of this Vave sportsbook review. Even then, Vave came out the same as everybody else we measured them up against. As an experienced bettor, you should be attracted to the depth and range of markets, and new bettors will find the experience a stress-free introduction to sports betting, so it’s worth checking out.
At any online casino you would be pleased to see names like NetEnt, and Pragmatic Play on the games you are browsing through.
These top the range of dozens of other suppliers which also include Red Tiger and Quickspin, with a few Vave originals added for good measure. Those we tried loaded easily and quickly. Finding any game is easy by using the search function, or by sorting by type or provider.
Our only criticism, perhaps, is that a range of suppliers was not asked to contribute any traditional RNG (non-live) table games to the selection of games here. It seems to be a conscious decision to exclude these, as the range of nearly 350 slots includes all of the permutations you could think of. These include the likes of Dark Wolf, Goddess of Egypt, and Book of DemiGods 3. Alongside those slots, you’ll find Vave original games to enjoy, including Vave Dice, Space XY, and Aviator. Also Rootbet’s library includes many top games, such as the fan-favorite Roobet Mission Uncrossable.
The live casino, on the other hand, is crammed with options. A dozen or more versions of blackjack and roulette, with the addition of game shows and baccarat, make up a live casino experience that will catch the eye of most players. Those feeling the loss of regular table games will also find plenty to get their attention here.
The table limits for these games will vary according to what you are playing, and you can also limit yourself if you choose.
The lack of non-live table games is the first thing you notice here, but the wide range of live table game options more than fills any gap left by their absence. When you combine that with the big-name suppliers delivering quality titles, you have an online casino experience that we can recommend, whether this is your first online casino experience, or you have been playing for years.
To improve player experience, online casinos, and sportsbooks tend to offer different payment options. As Vave is a crypto casino, it is easy to think that the option won’t include card payments, but by reading our full review you will be able to see everything that is available.
Operators have terms and conditions for bonuses, and missing any of them can mean you might not get what you are expecting. One major factor is often the bonus code, and to see what the requirements are for both the sports and casino bonuses check out our latest Vave.com review.
If you have a problem with your account, you’ll want answers quickly so you need to find out what your options are. By reading our Vave.com review here at Strafe.com, you’ll be able to see all of the different ways to contact support and the time it took to get answers when we tested them.
We approached this review expecting the focus to be on the bonus offer and attracting new customers. What we found was an attractive offer, but the overall focus was on keeping customers by making the experience one of the best we have seen. There are some areas to work on, such as adding an app and some RNG table games, but overall any player or better, new or experienced, is likely to be very happy with what they find here.
