Underdog Rips brings you 5 tiers of card pack rips from $5 to $2,500 that give you the chance of pulling amazing MLB, NBA, and NFL trading cards from superstars like Josh Allen, Shohei Ohtani, and LeBron James.
This week, I’ve made the Underdog Rips review below that details my experiences with these packs and the app. I’ll start by saying that Underdog rocks - I got some awesome NBA cards to add to my collection for teams I follow, and the surrounding features made the process that much more exciting and enjoyable.

Before I even started the technical part of this Underdog Rips review, I spent hours drooling over the packs and cards and seeing how the basic ripping process worked. It’s awesome - it’s clear that Underdog is legit, and that they’ve learned from what other sites have done who have come before it.
Right now, there are 5 tiers of packs to buy at Underdog Rips:
This is a pretty similar setup to other sites I’ve tested, such as my Openthatpack review, but I do think they need to add a few mid-tier value packs. At this point, you’re either going massively cheap or uber expensive - there needs to be something like a $100, $250, and $500 pack for those who want a little more oomph, but don’t want to splash $1k or more on a pack.
Within each pack, you get one MLB, NFL, or NBA trading card. Every card is either an authenticated RAW or graded by PSA, BGS, CGC, or SGC. I personally prefer PSA grading as I like the slab design, but all those organizations are recognized.
In terms of value and variety, I was impressed with the potential pulls. Of course, there was some filler that I had absolutely no interest in keeping, but there’s also some pretty iconic grail pulls like the 2018 Josh Allen Rookie, 2000 Tom Brady SP Rookie, and the 2020 National Treasures Justin Herbert Rookie, which I’m pretty sure has sold for $27k+ before.
There’s full transparency on every pack too - the odds, potential values, and percentage chances are all displayed, so make sure to check these. The only downside is that it’s sports trading cards only - Pokémon and One-Piece fans will have to check out other sites.
I went wild for this Underdog Rips review and spent a Dime or ten on their packs, and they made it easy to do so. I was able to pay for the packs using Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo and had no issues at checkout.

For each card I pulled from the many packs I opened at Underdog Rips, I was able to do one of the following:
From what I can see, the buyback offer is 100% of the Fair Market Value, which is pretty damn good. For instance, with my Mnstr review, the buyback offer was lower, and oftentimes I’ve found that it can be 80-90% of the FMV. This meant that I was able to sell back a load of the baseball and football cards I had no interest in keeping.
Alternatively, you can just put the card in your vault if you want to decide later. Be aware, though - they don’t stay in your vault permanently! You’ve got 72 hours; otherwise, the buyback offer is automatically accepted.
Lastly, I had 10+ cards shipped home - I pulled some cool LA Lakers NBA cards that I wanted. There’s US and International shipping, and I’ve put more info on the shipping times later in the Underdog Rips review.
Aside from the pack quality, I also found other things like the app usability and the pack animations made my experience much more enjoyable.
The Underdog Rips app ratings are awesome, and it’s easy to see why. I personally used the Android version, but I’ve heard from other Underdog Rips ratings that the iOS version is just as good. It’s smooth, easy to use, and they’ve done a great job with how the packs are displayed and how you can view the contents.
I know it’s a little thing, but out of all the mystery box sites I’ve tested, I think Underdog has some of the best animations. It looks like you’re opening a pack, and I like the cartoon-style design and artwork they’ve got going on - it helps build up the anticipation before that sweet, sweet card reveal.
Before I made my Underdog Rips login, I had to be sure that everything was simple and fast, including processes like support, card storage & shipping, and State availability.
Right now, when I published this Underdog Rips review, the apps were available in all US states except . That’s pretty damn good, and it gives the site a major advantage compared to other brands that operate in fewer regions. It’s also worth noting that Underdog Rips does do international shipping for the cards you rip.
One thing I’m always mindful of with sites like Underdog Rips is where they are actually keeping the cards. How do we know it’s not just some random guy with crates of cards in his spare room? Well, this ain’t the case with this operator - they have a similar setup to what I found in my Slabz review.
The cards are basically stored in one of three different private vaults - PSA Vault, Alt Vault, and Fanatics Vault. So, while they don’t have their own secure vault, every card is safe in a partner company's facility. This can actually affect the shipping time too, and compared to other sites, there’s plenty of room for improvement here:
Considering I’ve used other sites that ship cards within a few days, Underdog needs to catch up here.
Just like I did in my Gemint review, instead of just looking at the Underdog Rips support options, I dived in and tested them. To be fair, I needed help anyway with some shipping questions, so my first port of call was the live chat.
This is accessible via the app, and a friendly human agent spoke to me within a few minutes. They answered my questions and were spot on in terms of knowledge and care. The only minor critique I have of the live chat is that you can’t upload files. So, if you’ve got a screenshot you want to show as proof, you’d have to email it separately.

I’ve done an alternative Underdog Rips bonus review if you want a better breakdown of what’s going on. But I’ll summarize things here. Basically, at this point, there aren’t any dedicated promotions for Underdog Rips customers.
That means no welcome bonus, no VIP program, and no free packs. I’m not surprised, though, and I wasn’t bothered - the product has been out for a few days, so there’s plenty of time for stuff like that to come. Also, I had so much fun ripping the packs themselves and think they are great value, that the lack of promos was not an issue.
Needless to say, my Underdog Rips review is done, but I am not. I’ll be ripping packs here for the foreseeable future, and I can wholeheartedly say that the brand is worth exploring. If they pull their act together and actually add some promotions, then it’s a whole new level of experience. The pack selection is great; there are some superb sports trading cards to rip, and the surrounding processes and features all work together to give a safe, secure, and enjoyable card ripping experience.
If you fancy giving it a go, just use any of the banners or links I’ve put here on this page and create your Underdog Rips login today.
To sign up at Underdog Rips, click the banners I’ve put on this page. Then, download either the iOS or Android app and go through the registration process. You’ll then be able to deposit money into your account and start ripping packs.
Nope. You’ve got 3 days to decide what to do. I made this mistake to start with and ended up losing a few cards I wanted shipped. After 3 days (72 hours), if the card is still in your personal vault, the buyback offer is automatically accepted.
This depends on your State. I’ve had cards delivered by UPS, but it could be a different courier for you. They do offer both US and international shipping, though, and delivery times take between 1-3 weeks depending on the card vault.
