How is SpinQuest legal if online casinos are illegal in the U.S.?

The short answer is that SpinQuest is a sweepstakes casino, NOT a traditional casino, so it operates legally in most states in the USA that allows sweepstakes casino play.

Here’s the long answer:

SpinQuest operates fully in compliance with all laws and regulations, as it doesn’t offer real-money gambling. Unlike a traditional casino, you can’t deposit into a sweepstakes casino, you can’t wager real money, and you can’t win real money, In summary, there is no real mony play available on sweepstakes casinos at all. No purchase is necessary to participate in a sweepstakes casino. They instead rely on a virtual currency system, specifically a dual-currency system that many other sweepstakes casinos also rely on.

The two types of virtual currencies that SpinQuest relies on are the two virtual currencies you will find across most sweepstakes casinos: Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). You’ll be able to use your SpinQuest Gold Coins to play any of the 1000+ games for fun and entertainment, as Gold Coins are the virtual-only currency: it is specifically designed only for virtual, fun casino play. At any time you can switch to Sweepstakes Play, at which time you’ll play the games using your Sweeps Coins. Sweep Coins have more of a tenable, real world value than Gold Coins do.

Here you don’t win money – instead, you win redeemable Sweeps Coins, which you can redeem for real prizes once all playthrough and eligibility requirements have been met. As a result, Sweep Coins are generally harder to come by, earn and win, and they are considered to be more 'valuable' than Gold Coins.

What other eligibility requirements exist for those who live in SpinQuest legal states?

Aside from being at least 18 years old and living in a legal state, all players must follow the sweepstakes rules as well as the terms and conditions in order to be eligible to play. Some of these requirements are as follows:

🔒 You Must Be Able to Verify Your Identity

In order to redeem any eligible SC for real prizes, you need to verify your identity. This involves completing KYC requirements. At a minimum, you’ll be asked to upload your government-issued identification alongside a selfie and proof of your address (such as a utility bill). The brand may ask for additional documentation at their discretion, such as a signed affidavit confirming your eligibility. We always recommend that players complete KYC requirements as soon as possible, as the verification usually takes 24-48 hours to clear. It prevents any purchases or redemptions you attempt getting delayed, and speeds up the whole process further the sooner you get them done.

💳 You Must Use Your Own Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, etc

Whether you’re using a credit card to purchase Gold Coins or you’re sharing banking information to redeem a real prize, all accounts must belong to you. If you’re using a joint account, you may be asked to provide identification verification for the joint-account holder.

⚠️ You Must Have Only One Account

Sometimes players accidentally create an additional account, perhaps because they forgot they created the original one. In other cases, some players may create an additional account because they can’t remember their credentials to get into their original account. And then of course there are other reasons, such as players creating accounts to get extra bonuses, or creating an account if their original one was suspended. Whatever the reason, it’s still against the terms of service to create more than one account, and doing so can result in you losing all your accounts.

⚠️ You Must Gamble Responsibly

Even though SpinQuest is a sweepstakes casino, and there are no real money wagers taking place, we would still emphasize that players take responsible gambling principles in mind when they visit this site. Always make sure you are not developing any problem habits, and if you are, make sure that you use the full list of gambling tools that SpinQuest offer. This includes tools such as deposit limits, session timeouts, cooling off periods and self-exclusions. You should also make full use of the external resources that the platform offers, such as BeGambleAware or Gamble Responsibly.

🚫 You Must Not Engage in Any Fraudulent Activity

This goes without saying, but nonetheless we need to remark on it. You need to read the terms and conditions, and then abide by them, which includes not engaging in fraudulent activities. This may include activities such as using a VPN (virtual private network) and fraudulent documents during identity verification, using apps to play or hack into the games, and any number of other activities. If you are in a state where SpinQuest is not legal, you unfortuantely cannot sign up unless you go to another state where the brand is legal. Read the rules and use common sense so that your account doesn’t get locked down.

How do you acquire Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins?

As mentioned before, you don’t engage in any real-money gambling at a sweepstakes casino. Instead, you use virtual currencies to play the games. And that might have you wondering how, exactly, you get your hands on GC and SC.

1. For starters, you’ll get a SpinQuest sign up bonus of 100,000 GC and 2 SC just for creating your account. You can then add to this bonus by logging in every 24 hours, which tops off your balances by giving you 10,000 GC and 1 SC. It’s one of the easiest ways to add to your balances, and no promo codes or other special steps are required to claim this bonus. They also offer a daily login bonus, worth 10,000 GC and 1 SC every consecutive day you login.

2. Next, you can further add to your virtual currency balances by taking part in any promotions you see advertised on the SpinQuest website, on their social media pages, or in promos they send to you via email. The social media promos may include extra activities such as challenges, tournament invitations, and similar activities. You can earn up t0 100 SC with some of these promo offers, so make sure to claim them quickly, as they are normally time sensitive and come on a first come, first serve basis!

3. The next method for getting Sweeps Coins is to send an AMOE request. This is an alternative method of entry request, which is where you send a handwritten postcard via the postal mail to request Sweeps Coins. You need to follow specific instructions, such as including a special phrase on your postcard, otherwise your request may be rejected. Once the mail-in request is accepted, you should be able to claim 5 SC the next working day.

4. Next, you can refer your friends for a chance to get free SC. All you have to do is give the unique SpinQuest referral code to your friends, and if they purchase Gold Coins you’ll get rewarded. You get a “commission” based on your referral’s activity, so the more they purchase, the more Sweeps Coins you can collect. You will also get a retention offer, of 50% SC on all SC that you and your referee lose based on rakeback, coinback and other promos.

5. The final way to get additional virtual currency is to purchase Gold Coins. While a purchase is never required, you’ll get free bonus SC when you purchase GC. This is a quick and simple way to top off your balances. We would recommend starting off with the first purchase bonus, where you can claim 300,000 GC and 30 SC for only a $10 purchase.
