PrizePicks Predictions Prediction Markets Review 2026: Platform Guide

Details
Player Feedback

Most people familiar with PrizePicks already know them from stacking player props. But there’s also PrizePicks Predict, which is a prediction market that operates within the same app. My PrizePicks Predict review highlights how this differs from their DFS product.

I spent quite some time testing the platform to see how it works. I signed up for an account and checked how easily you can buy, sell, and trade event contracts. I also assessed the different payment channels and the quality of the brand’s customer support team. Here’s what I found out about PrizePicks Predict.

Understanding what PrizePicks Predict is

Prizepicks Predict is a prediction market site that operates as a part of the PrizePicks brand. Running under a different entity, Performance Predictions II, LLC is a CFTC registered FCM and NFA Member. What makes it so distinct is that the mechanics are completely separate from the brand’s DFS focused Player Picks.

With PrizePicks Predict, you’re trading event contracts, rather than building lineups with numerous stats such as Power Play or Flex. And instead of building lineups or choosing More/Less options on individual states, you’re deciding yes or no on a single outcome.

So, how do you make predictions on PrizePicks Predict?

Each contract reflects either as a “Yes” or “No” question based on a real life event. For example: “Will France win the 2026 FIFA World Cup?”. You’ll see the probability for each outcome reflected in the market price for each respective position. This is based on the overall trading activity on each side.

For instance, you could buy a “Yes” contract on the above event trading for $0.72, implying a 72% likelihood of the outcome occurring. Equally, a “No” contract would be trading at $0.28 with an implied probability of 28%. If your prediction is correct and the outcome you backed does occur, your purchased event contracts will settle at $1 each. If the outcome does not occur, then each contract will settle at $0 and you’ll lose your investment.

All event contracts offered on PrizePicks Predict are made through a partnership with Kalshi. This means that you’re using the framework of Kalshi’s prediction market, without needing a separate account on the site.

How does the PrizePicks Predict app work?

On the PrizePicks app, you’ll find the pick type switcher. This is a row of tabs at the top of the main board, which shows you Players, Teams and Culture Picks. If you tap Teams or Culture, you’ll be redirected to the prediction markets product. This doesn’t require a secondary login, a separate wallet or being redirected to another app.

Similar to what I discovered during my Fanduel prediction markets review, each board is organized by categories, and I was able to switch between the filters fast and seamlessly. It only took a few taps between looking at game outcomes for the NFL and event contracts predicting how the price of crypto will change. The individual contract cards are laid out to show the question, the current prices, and how long is left until the market closes.

When you tap on the card, it opens up a separate screen with more details. This includes the exact outcome being predicted, the settlement source, opening and closing dates, payout scheduling and whether early exit is available.

When it comes to the biggest sporting events, the pricing fluctuates actively as the market changes. During high profile games I saw contract prices could shift slightly between the outcome and when I got to the checkout screen. The app notified me of this change by flagging the updated price and asking to confirm before anything was finalized.

How does the mobile app compare to the desktop site?

During my review I found that the desktop site serves largely as an informational hub. While it’s decent enough to use for making Player Picks over on the DFS side of things it does seem a little cluttered when it comes to prediction markets.

Even as you sign up you’ll be immediately redirected to download the app on your mobile phone for easier access. Exploring the platform via the app is simple and streamlined and entering contracts takes only a few taps from browsing to checkout.

The pick type switcher on the app makes alternating between Player Picks, Team Picks and Culture Picks completely smooth. Real time tracking of your open positions is also available.

At the time of writing this review the PrizePicks app has a rating of 4.7 on the Apple App Store. On the Google App Store, the app has a rating of 4.5 stars, which highlights the fact that while the desktop version is all fine and well, the true experience happens when you switch over to mobile.

Is there a PrizePicks Predict bonus for new players?

There is a welcome offer for new users on PrizePicks which gives you a “Play $5, Get $50” bonus. However, this promotion is exclusive to PrizePicks and only applies to the DFS side of the app, specifically for Player Picks lineups. If you sign up to the platform specifically for the prediction markets product, you won’t be able to use the deal on any of the available event contracts. While this may be disappointing at first, you can still make use of the offer should you decide to also check out the brand’s Player Picks section. To claim, you'll need to sign up, make an eligible deposit, and enter the PrizePicks Predict promo code from the brand’s promotions page.

Similarly, I also found that most other bonuses for existing users cannot be used across Team or Culture Picks on the site. There is a referral bonus that allows you to refer up to ten friends to the site, but any bonus funds you receive as a result will also only be available to use on Player Picks. The brand occasionally also runs discounted projections on Player Picks as well as a Max Discount promo which could see your multi-stat picks be considered won even if only one point of your stats hits. Just as you wouldn’t require a Fanduel Predicts promo code to claim their offers, you also will be able to claim any promotions for existing DFS users at PrizePicks without a special code.

Sports predictions on PrizePicks Predict

The Team Picks board is one of the brands biggest strong suits and its sports contracts are one of the clearest examples of this. Game outcomes, point spreads, totals and payoff development are all readily available to trade with clear terms and pricing details.

During the NBA playoffs, for example, I saw contract prices moving with the game’s progression. This is because before you commit to a contract, there’s a screen that shows the details of your outcome prediction. This tells you exactly where the settlement data is from (e.g official league box scores) and when the outcome has finished.

The Team Picks board also covers events such as the outcome of F1 races, including the winner, podium finishes and the championship futures for the season. Team Picks are currently available in 34 states.

On sport contracts, the settlement was fast and simple during my testing. After the games concluded, the outcomes were resolved quickly and account balances were updated without any delay.

Esports predictions on PrizePicks Predict

The brand has excellent coverage on esports contracts. Its contract mechanics function the same as the Team Picks structure for traditional sports and esports picks are available across the same 34 eligible states, including Texas and California. Tournament and match results feature on the board whenever there’s enough market interest.

One of the key findings about the esports markets on PrizePicks Predict is that it tracks closely with the size of the events. When major tournaments take place, the pricing is active and the markets offer much greater variation. As you would expect, esports prediction markets concentrate mostly on the larger events such as the League of Legends World Championship or major ESL tournaments for CS 2.

Culture, politics and crypto predictions

Culture Picks are available in 48 states which is a much wider availability than Team Picks. Within this vast structure, I found contracts that cover a large range of political outcomes, cultural events as well as Bitcoin and crypto pricing shifts.

The overall mechanics work exactly the same as Team Picks. This includes pricing based on market trends, binary contracts, and the way contracts are settled at either $1 if your prediction is correct or $0 if it is not. What distinguishes Culture Picks is the resolution data. Every single one of these has their own distinct criteria. Political contracts are settled against official government data.

Economic contracts are based on published and verifiable government reports. Crypto contracts, on the other hand, use verifiable market prices.

The culture board extends into pop culture as well, and you can try to adequately predict who will be named Time’s Person of the Year, or which artist will be next to top the monthly listeners chart on Spotify.

How to start trading event contracts on PrizePicks Predict

While the brand’s DFS product has its own fans, prediction markets offer users in eligible states a fresh way to participate in predicting the outcomes of real life events and getting started shouldn’t take you longer than a few minutes. Here’s how:

  1. Use any of the banners on this page to head directly to the PrizePicks website. While the desktop site works well enough, I recommend you download the native app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store as navigation on there is a little simpler.

  2. Click on the big purple ‘Sign Up’ button to start the registration process. This will automatically prompt you to complete the process via the app.

  3. Fill in your personal details and confirm your email address and mobile phone number via the link and OTP sent to you.

  4. Next, you’ll have to verify your account by completing the brand’s KYC process. Any CFTC-regulated prediction platform will require this type of verification and you’ll be asked to provide a valid form of ID, such as a state-issued ID card or driver’s license as well as proof of address.

  5. Once verified you’ll need to fund your account. Fortunately, PrizePicks Predict offers you a range of payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and bank transfers.

  6. You can claim the welcome bonus on the site if you want. However, do keep in mind that it cannot be used on Team or Culture Picks and is only available for eligible Player Picks lineups.

And that’s it. You can now head to the Team and Culture Picks section, browse the available event contracts and start predicting on the outcome sports, political, or cultural events.

What payment methods are available?

Payments for Team Picks and Culture Picks have a level of restriction due to legal requirements, and it’s worth mentioning what those differences are before you start. Event contracts are regulated under CFTC oversight which means it has different payment requirements than DFS.

As a result, only Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Apple Pay, and online banking can be accepted for making deposits and withdrawals on PrizePicks Predict. This means that PayPal, credit cards and Venmo aren’t available for Team or Culture Picks. I came to a similar conclusion when conducting my Underdog prediction markets review.

Payment processing

Funding my account via my debit card was smooth and it only took a few minutes for the payment to be credited to my account. Note that bank transfers may take longer depending on your bank’s processing times and whether or not you’re eligible for real-time transfers.

Withdrawals follow the standard PrizePicks process. However, keep in mind that if you want to opt for an early payout on an event contract, it will depend on the market liquidity at the time you wish to exit. If the market is thin or close to ending, the early payout option will be greyed out.

PrizePicks Predict pricing - how fees work on the site

Service fees are applied whenever you buy and if you sell early. This ranges from $0.005 to $0.02 per contract, and gets rounded up towards the nearest cent. After making a purchase, these get added to your entry free and are deducted when you sell your order. It’s worth knowing that contracts that are held through to settlement won’t receive a fee at the final payout.

How good is the customer support for PrizePicks Predict?

I contacted the brand’s customer support specifically regarding PrizePicks Predict. Both times I did this through the in-app live chat, which you can find through the site’s help center. I queried to ask them why an early payout option was unavailable to me on a contract and the team got back to me within 10 minutes. Without even needing to provide the contract ID, the agent explained that the market liquidity was too low for a sale at that point, and linked me to the Predict terms which covers how early exits work on the app.

I was satisfied with the fast and accurate response I received, which came from an agent who clearly understood the Predict product specifically and not a chat bot. Support is offered through both the live chat in-app as well as on the site itself. There’s also a help center that has a dedicated section for the prediction markets product. This covers terms of service, risk disclosures and FAQs.

Licencing regulatory framework at PrizePicks Predict

PrizePicks Predict is run by Performance Predictions II, LLC, a CFTC registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA Member. The platform takes security seriously and uses 128-bit SSL encryption as well as two factor authentication to secure your account. The regulatory foundation here is federal rather than state level, which means it has its own set of privacy regulations. This allows the brand’s prediction market product to expand its state availability faster than a typical DFS product.

It’s important to know that event contracts always carry a financial risk and you could lose your investment should your predictions be incorrect. PrizePicks is direct about this in its terms and on the platform itself, which is a great sign.

PrizePicks Predict - should you sign up?

If you’re looking to trade event contracts on a wide range of categories, PrizePicks Predict is one of the best places you could check out without needing several different accounts. The market breadth is huge, ranging from sports and esports on Team Picks as well as a number of different Culture Picks options ranging from climate to culture and politics. CFTC regulation, NFA membership and the integrated Kalshi market access allow for a smooth trading experience.

Switching between Predict and the other parts of the app happens with a few clicks, and its support team is knowledgeable and responsive. If you’re a new user, or you’re already using PrizePicks and haven’t discovered the Team and Culture boards yet, there’s a whole world of prediction possibilities waiting to be seen. Simply use any of the links on this page to get started.
