What did I get for my PackDraw signup bonus?

I’ll start this PackDraw review by saying that I did NOT get any welcome bonus as a new customer. I went through the registration process, and that was it. This was a disappointment, as a lot of the other mystery box sites I’ve tried recently will give you something like a free pack or box, a discount, or a deposit match bonus.

This is an area that PackDraw can immediately improve on - it doesn’t have to be a huge welcome bonus by any means, but something simple like a free mystery box to open would be cool. It would give customers the chance to see exactly how the site works and give them some idea of the contents of the mystery boxes. That’s not the case yet though, and instead, it looks like PackDraw has concentrated on its other features like the rewards program, battles, and raffles.

How I got signed up at PackDraw

Despite there being no signup bonus, I still want to go through the registration process as you will ultimately need to do this if you want to access any of the other features I’ll discuss. Signing up is especially easy, and I was able to get started by following these steps:

It took me 2-3 minutes in all to get signed up, and after that I headed to the deposit section to add funds to my account. You should be able to use Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, or debit card, plus a range of cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, USDT, USDC, XRP, Litecoin, and Binance Coin.

I was impressed with the simplicity of the payment setup, and it’s important to note that there was a $5 minimum deposit limit. After adding some funds, I was free to start browsing the massive selection of mystery boxes that they have - my personal favorite were the Pokemon TCG boxes.

Looking at the PackDraw Rewards Program

Easily the main feature that this site offers is the Rewards Program, and I think that this somewhat makes up for the fact that they don’t have a signup offer. It does follow a similar pattern to many other mystery box site rewards programs that I’ve tested, but I think they do a better job with the rewards and free boxes.

The basic premise for the program is as follows:

  • You get reward points by opening mystery boxes.
  • This contributes to your reward level.
  • At specific reward level milestones such as L2, L10, L20, L30, and L40, you get a free box.

That’s the main function of the rewards program, and I believe that the free box rewards increase in value the higher you get. In addition to this main feature, PackDraw also has three other types of rewards:

  • Daily Reward: get a free box for opening a box within the last 24 hours.
  • Weekly Reward: get a free box for opening a box within the last week.
  • Monthly Reward: get a free box for opening a box within the last month.

Now, from my understanding, the more mystery boxes that you open, the better these recurring rewards will be which is great for those who intend to stay active on the site. The only real downside to this program is the lack of information - the rewards page itself doesn’t have any explanation of these features - it was just my deductive work figuring things out.

Other features and PackDraw promotions I found

I was impressed with the Rewards Program, but there were other PackDraw promotions and features including some fun mystery box game modes. Additionally, they have a gamified leaderboard/race feature where you can compete against others for prizes.

PackDraw battles

I’ve seen battle systems at other mystery box sites but I’ve never jumped in myself. The premise here is that you bet a specific mystery box as your entry fee into the battle. You then play against 5 other players or bots who each have bet the same mystery box as their entry fee. Then, a number of rounds play, and during each round, you each get a prize spin to see what you have pulled.

Whatever you pull is then added to your overall total, and the winner is the person with the highest total pulls - they then get the combined value of all the packs. I’ve watched many of the battles live and it does seem pretty exciting, but I’m a little unsure when bots are involved. Basically, if you don’t get other human players in your battle, it will be populated with AI bots.

I don’t think it’s a scam, as the results for each round are visible and provably fair, but I would be more inclined to play the battles if it was guaranteed that you would be playing against only humans. There are different game modes too such as Classic, Share Mode, Jackpot, and Elimination which add an extra layer of excitement to the process.

Deals

Deals are another gamification feature where you are essentially giving yourself the chance to get a discount on an item from any of the mystery boxes. The process is as follows:

  1. Select the item you want to try and get a deal on.
  2. Drag the green slider on the circle to set your percentage chance and deal amount.
  3. Click the spin button.

So, for example, you might want to try and get a deal on a Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Surging Sparks Trainer Box. This has an estimated value of $350. Using the deal feature, you could set the percentage to 80% - this means you have an 80% chance of getting the deal, and this would reduce the price to $302.40. HOWEVER, if you DON’T get the deal, you get nothing in return, AND you still lose the original $302.40 that you fronted.

Personally, I am not a fan of this game mode, purely because the maximum percentage you can set for any deal is 80% - this means you are essentially giving yourself a 20% chance of throwing money away and I think the actual mystery boxes and battles offer much better value.

Draws

Draws is a type of upgraded system, and in all honesty I found it a little confusing. You essentially have to enter an amount you wish to play with, and then reveal up to 9 cards on a 3x3 grid. Depending on what the cards show determines the outcome of the draw:

  • Draw = upgrade all remaining cards.
  • Lose = card turns gray.
  • Win = card upgrades to a new product.

There is a basic explanation of the process, but I really think they need to do a better job as it’s not really clear what you get or the main aim. A demo version of this feature would also be great so you can see exactly how it works. Right now, I can’t really give my thoughts on the Draws due to the lack of transparency.

PackDraw Events

PackDraw has a series of events which anyone can join in simply by opening mystery boxes and using the site:

  • Daily Raffle: every 24 hours there is a raffle with a $2,500 prize pool. Every $1 spent gives you one raffle ticket! The top prize is $1,000, but there’s also prizes down to $25 for the other top 19 raffle ticket draws.
  • Weekly Race: a standard leaderboard format where your spend at PackDraw contributes to your leaderboard score. At the end of the week, the top 25 spots get a share of the $15,000 prize pool.
  • Monthly Race: exactly the same as the weekly race, but spread over the month, and the prize pool is bumped up to a whopping $100,000!

My verdict - PackDraw has some promising features

Overall, I was impressed with MOST of the PackDraw promotions - the rewards program is fantastic and it can give you real extra value the more you use the site. I also think the battle system is pretty fun, and it is one of the better iterations of this format I’ve seen. On the flip side though, I was not as impressed with the Deals or the Draws and I don’t really see the value in either of these features.

Lastly, let’s not forget about the events, raffles, and the recurring leaderboards - these are all other epic features that give you the potential of getting more bonuses and mystery boxes to open, and I think they are worth looking into. So, overall, PackDraw gets my seal of approval, and despite the lack of a welcome bonus, it’s one of the better mystery box sites for promos and gamification features - try it out now by clicking any of the banners we’ve got here!
