What is LoneStar Casino?

LoneStar is a relatively new sweepstake casino that was launched in March 2025, and quickly stamped its mark on the sweepstakes world with a well-rounded, solid overall sweeps platform.  With over 500 games in its arsenal, you can enjoy a wide range of slots, classic table games, live dealer options and plenty of instant-win, Crash-style titles such as Plinko, Mines, Dice and Hi Lo.

LoneStar is already doing a great job of building up a loyal fan base, thanks to its impressive game collection, sleek and modern website, and quick and seamless prize redemptions. The biggest reason we are so complimentary of LoneStar Casino as a new sweeps platform is their bonus offers. They've got a great range of bonuses players can enjoy: such as welcome bonuses, daily login bonuses, social media promos, referral bonuses, tournaments and a Loyalty Lounge. We cover them all in detail in our LoneStar promo codes review, but they offer plenty of promo offers for players.

As a sweepstakes casino, you don't use real money at LoneStar. Instead, you use two virtual currencies called Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. You can redeem your eligible Sweeps Coins for real prizes, which we're going to look at in just a moment.

At LoneStar, you can play with virtual currency without any risk

Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins explained

All sweepstakes casinos use a free-to-play model, and you use your Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) to play games and win more GC and SC in return. The difference between these two virtual currencies is simple. GC has no monetary value, and all you can win when you play with GC is more GC. It is a virtual only currency that is designed only for entertainment and fun, and cannot be exchanged for any other currencies in any circumstances.

SC, by contrast, also has no monetary value, but the SC that you win from playing games can be redeemed for real prizes. Sweep Coins, once you reach the minimum threshold (which we will cover in detail later), and meet the playthrough requirements, can be exchanged for real cash prizes when you 'cash out'. Some real cash prizes you can exchange with SC includes gift cards, and cash prizes. Of course, this means that SC is harder to earn and come across than GC, because it is the virtual currency that holds more real world value.

How to redeem SC for real prizes on LoneStar

Making a LoneStar prize redemption is super easy. All you need to do is log into your account and go to the ‘Redeem’ button, which is clearly visible at all times on the left-hand side of the screen. However, before you make a LoneStar redemption request, there are a couple of requirements you need to make sure you have met, in order for your redemptions to go through.

1. Firstly, make sure that all your KYC documents are up to date. Completing KYC verification will be mandatory for all players that try to redeem SC, sooner or later, so we recommend completing them sooner. For KYC, you usually need to submit proof of identity, proof of address and complete a biometric scan to pass the requirements. It usually takes 24-48 hours to clear the requirements, which is why we recommend players complete them early.

2. Secondly, you must meet the 1x playthrough requirement, which makes your Sweeps Coins redeemable. This essentially means you need to play through all the SC you win or have claimed through promo offers once before it becomes eligible to be redeemed.

3. Thirdly, you must have at least 100 SC in your account before you make a redemption request. This is the minimum threshold for redeeming your SC for a cash prize. Alternatively, if you want to claim a gift card, you need a minimum of 45 SC to redeem your SC for a gift card of your choice (Amazon, Arby's, Google Play, Apple Store, iTunes, Walmart, Target)

4. Visit the redemption section in the top right corner, and begin the redemption process by hitting the redeem button. Once you hit that redeem button, it's simply a case of entering the amount of SC you wish to redeem and then choosing your preferred banking method. LoneStar SC redemptions can be done via bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Google/Apple Pay or Skrill.

5. Depending on the redemption method you have used, your cash prizes can be processed within 1 to 7 working days. If you chose to redeem your SC for gift cards, the digital gift cards will automatically be emailed to the email account you use for your LoneStar play.

How to get more Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins at LoneStar

As a sweepstakes casino, LoneStar uses a no-purchase-necessary model. This means there are several ways to snap up GC and SC for free.

• To start your adventure off on the right foot, LoneStar will give you a very generous 100,000 GC + 2.5 SC when you register a new account. You can also take advantage of the LoneStar daily reload, where you get 5,000 GC + 0.30 SC just for logging into your account every 24 hours.
• The daily login bonus is the quickest and easiest way to pick up GC and SC, but there are also some LoneStar weekly bonus offers to snap up as well. Check the promotions page to find details of social media competitions and giveaways that you can take part in every single week, and don't forget to follow LoneStar on channels like Facebook, Instagram and X so that you never miss out on the chance to bag some free GC and SC.
• You can also claim a weekly bonus if you reach the Master tier in the LoneStar VIP program. The rewards are plentiful in the Loyalty Lounge, with regular rakeback rewards, level up rewards, discounts on GC bundle packages, priority customer support, your own personal VIP host and eventually invites to real time events.
• Another way to add free GC and SC to your balance is to bring your friends to the party with the referral program. You can get up to 200,000 GC plus 70 SC for every eligible referral you make. All you need to do is log into your account, go to the ‘Promotions’ page and click on the ‘Refer Now’ button. You'll be given a unique link that you can send to your loved ones, and you'll get rewarded for whoever signs up for a new account and makes a GC purchase.
• Finally, you can get 1 SC by mailing in your request to the sweepstakes casino directly. One Sweeps Coin isn't exactly setting the world alight, but it's still worth dusting off a pen and some paper to take advantage of this offer.

LoneStar - offering quick, easy and hassle-free redemptions

As we've seen today, LoneStar offers a very quick and easy redemption process that makes it simple for you to request a real prize. Remember, you need to meet the 1x playthrough requirement and have a minimum of 100 SC (or 45 SC for gift card redemptions) in your account before you make your LoneStar redemption request. Also, bear in mind that you have to verify your account via the KYC process, so make sure you do this so that you don't delay any redemptions.

I would have liked to have seen a slightly lower minimum balance for cash prize redemptions, but 100 SC is pretty standard. But one thing I particularly like is that the turnaround times are pretty quick, with the prizes reaching your account in 1 to 3 days if you opt for Skrill as your preferred payment method.

So now that you know all about how to redeem Sweeps Coins at LoneStar, all you have to do is sign up for a new account and start enjoying the site's fantastic collection of over 500 casino-style games, and hopefully, you'll win enough SC to make your first prize redemption request!
