Lastpack is a brand new card break/mystery box site that’s launched and I’ve been all-in on trying it out - the first thing that attracted me to it was the Buy 1 Pack, get 3 free packs welcome bonus.

BUT, as you’ll see in my Lastpack review below, I think this site has a lot more to offer too. They have an actual warehouse where they keep all their cards, there’s loads of PSA-graded slabs, and you can rip a brilliant range of Pokemon, One Piece, and Riftbound packs - read on to learn more!

My first impressions of Lastpack - does it look legit?

Before I dived into the pack ripping process, I wanted to check out the legitimacy of the brand and make sure I wasn’t going to get scammed. This meant looking at things like transparency, security, the payment setup, and customer support.

Transparency and company info

The first thing that made me confident about Lastpack was the fact that they have their own warehouse where they store their cards in California. There’s pictures showing the cards and it was impressive! Next, I carefully read through things like their shipping service, terms of service, and FAQs and they explain EVERYTHING - full transparency on pretty much every process.

Website security

For security, you’ve got SSL encryption as standard for your data transfers, and when I wrote this Lastpack review, the site had an active SSL certificate provided by Google Trust Services. Additionally, I noticed important docs which I’ve previously mentioned like the privacy policy, shipping process, and terms of service.

Payment process

When I went to buy some packs to rip, I was able to use either crypto or cash payment methods. Although I’ve got a crypto wallet, I chose to use a debit card, and I was impressed with the third-party Fun payment gateway they use - it was all incredibly secure and you had to go through some verification steps just to make a purchase.

Customer support options

The primary support option for Lastpack is the live chat which you can access from the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the site. I tested this a handful of times, and although you do speak to an AI chatbot, I was also able to speak to a human rep eventually. In terms of waiting times, the average was 5-6 minutes, and I thought the support rep was especially helpful and knew their stuff.

What packs was I able to rip at Lastpack?

So, we know the site is legit, but what can you actually do at Lastpack?

There’s currently only One Piece, Pokemon, and Rift Cards

In terms of TCG genres, you’ve currently got Pokemon, One Piece, and Riftbound packs. I’m pretty sure they specialize in Pokemon as these seem to have the weirdest pack variety and availability. To give you a breakdown, you can see a summary of the packs below:

GenreMin PriceMax PriceGrail Cards
Pokemon$1$1,000PSA 10 Charizard Skyridge Holo
One Piece$5$50BGS 10 Shanks Manga Art
Riftbound$5$50PSA 10 Miss Fortune Signature Over Number

I love the fact that there’s packs from as little as $1 as it makes the site affordable for both veteran and casual collectors. Additionally, the packs work like any other card break site - each pack has a set potential pool of cards, and each tier of cards has a set percentage chance of being pulled.

Pack ripping process is awesome

When you actually buy a pack, you can see the cool artwork, and then a slot machine-style reel happens and eventually lands on your card - I think it looks awesome, and I like that you can instantly identify the rarity of the card you pulled via the color-coding system.

You can either vault your cards, sell them, or get them shipped

In terms of what you can do with your cards, there’s three options:

  1. Instantly sell your card for the buyback offer.
  2. Keep the card and place it in your digital vault.
  3. Keep the card and get it shipped to your address.

From my experience, I think the buyback offers are pretty fair and they typically work out around 90% of the pack price if you get a Common or Uncommon drop.

Your Vault also looks pretty cool, and I like that you can check out your collection and view your cards at any time. However, if you actually want to have a physical collection like I do, shipping is the way forward. They deliver to both the US and Internationally, but you do have to front the shipping costs - you can see what these are when you select your items to be delivered.

I believe that it’s best to ship your items in blocks of 10 cards as this is the max they can ship in one box, and it helps spread the shipping cost evenly between your collection - don’t simply get single cards shipping unless they are grails and worth thousands!

Did I enjoy the pack ripping process and site usability?

In terms of site usability, I like the simple but effective design of Lastpack - it’s not flashy, but it’s clean and modern. The black, white, and green color scheme works really well, and gives you great text readability. On top of that, the navigation menus mean that you can easily move around the site, find the packs you want to rip, and manage your account.

I also wanted to point out how cool the pack setup is. When you click on the packs link, you get a preview of the pack art, plus a whole host of options you can change. For instance, you can switch between the Pokemon, Riftbound, and One Piece packs, but also change the volatility of the packs:

  • Steady - more consistent pulls around the pack value
  • Balanced - a little bit more risk, but still fairly consistent
  • Wild - this is for the grail chasers - more chance of rare pulls, but also more chance of low value pulls

It works brilliantly, and I think that new customers will easily understand how everything works. It also helps that you can buy and rip up to 10 packs at once which is great if you are sticking to the $1 to $5 packs.

Lastly, for mobile usability, there’s NO downloadable app which is a shame, BUT, I tested the mobile responsive browser version of the site and this works flawlessly too.

Did Lastpack give me any promotions or free packs?

Yes! I was happy to see that Lastpack is pretty generous when it comes to its bonuses. There’s a welcome bonus for new customers, a cool loyalty system, and some other fun features.

Buy one pack, get three free packs offer

I’ve gone into more detail about the potential promos you can get here in my separate Lastpack bonus review, but I wanted to share my experiences of the signup offer at least.

When you use our banners and register an account with the site, you get a Buy 1, Get 3 Packs Free offer. I tested this out, and I bought a $25 Pokemon Starter Pack - as soon as I had ripped it, I got a pop-up allowing me to get my 3x free packs. So, I jumped right in, and opened them - in total, I essentially got $1.13 worth of cards, with the following rips:

  • Common - Premium Power Pro Trainer Card
  • Common - Ivysaur
  • Rare - Reshiram

I know this doesn’t seem like A LOT, BUT, it’s free! Also, you can keep the cards you get if you want, or instantly sell them back at the offer value that Lastpack gives. I’m a big fan of this welcome bonus - it’s simple, straightforward, and lets you see exactly how the site works.

Other cool promo features I found at Lastpack

The welcome bonus is just one feature I found, and the site has plenty of other promotions, including:

  • Cardback system where you can get free packs
  • Referral program
  • Rewards system
  • Pack opening leaderboards

The rewards system is pretty cool, as you basically get free packs for doing daily missions, pack opening streaks, and when you hit pack opening milestones such as 10 packs - the free pack prizes aren’t massive, but I treat is as a type of additional rakeback bonus where you can get a little more towards your pack opening balance.

Conclusion - Lastpack gets off to a fantastic start

I had A LOT of fun with Lastpack and I can’t praise their pack-ripping system enough. It’s just a load of fun but also incredibly well-made. There’s plenty of cool Pokemon, One Piece, and Riftbound cards to pull, and I really like that you can change the variance of the packs to suit your risk tolerance.

I do think that in time they might consider expanding into more TCG genres, although perhaps they want to only specialize in these free collections? Also, a mobile app would be nice. Other than that, I’ve got no complaints, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other collectors, so why not use the banners we have on this page and give it a try for yourself?

Lastpack FAQs

😁 Is Lastpack legit?

It is. I’m 100% confident this site is the real deal and that its packs are truly random - I’ve tested the rips, bought the packs myself, and I can vouch for the fact that you can get some awesome pulls.

šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Can you get any free Lastpack packs?

Yes! There’s a welcome bonus where you buy 1 pack and get 3 free packs, plus you get a free pack for every 10 packs you buy. There’s also a loyalty system which gives you the chance to get additional packs.

šŸƒ What types of packs does Lastpack offer?

At the moment when I created this Lastpack review, they only had One Piece, Riftbound, and Pokemon card packs. I’m not sure if they play to expand their collection over time.
