While I was sinking my teeth into the
Crypto.com prediction markets review, I signed up to see what it offers. And I would like to bring to your attention that none of the welcome bonuses available on the platform is intended for use on trading event contracts. Don’t freak out; my analysis of similar sites reveals that this is standard practice in prediction market platforms in the United States.
However, I was eligible for a Welcome Bonus Mission after registering for a Crypto.com account and completing the KYC verification process. This Crypto.com new user promo is a gateway to rewards that can grant a maximum of 1 BTC, which you can use in crypto trading, meaning you can't apply it to prediction trading.
Another thing to keep in mind here is that these rewards won’t be available quickly, since this is a mission-based promo. That means before you get your hands on your rewards, you must reach a specified trading target. You can expect this to sit at either $500 or $100 – it all boils down to where you live in the US. Lastly, Crypto.com gave me 30 days to meet this requirement. Your 30-day countdown will begin right after you've become a registered user.

Head on over to Crypto.com’s official website using the banners on this page. You can use your PC or mobile — the choice is yours.

If you go the mobile route as I did, you’ll see "Get the App" in the middle of your screen. Just tap it to proceed to the new phase. Doing this will redirect you to either the App Store or Google Play.

Download the application and then install it on your mobile device. It took me around 2 minutes to do this.

Tap the Continue with email option, go to your inbox, and click the Create an Account button to verify your email address.

Select your country code before entering your phone number, where Crypto.com will send a code. This is all you need to verify your phone.

Enter your password and confirm it by repeating the same passcode.

You’ll then need to go through KYC and make the required verification. During my registration, I was required to upload my ID and take a selfie.

Sign up and start making predictions
Once you have claimed your sign up promotion and used it on crypto trading, you can still take part in other promos as an existing user residing in the US. Remember that eligibility and offers may vary from one region to another, and you cannot use your rewards on prediction trading.
Level Up is one of the promotions you may participate in on this platform, and it's a subscription program with different plans that give you access to a range of rewards. But these may come as limited-time offers available only for a certain period.
Crypto.com also has a referral program that you can participate in immediately after your account and identity have been verified. What I like about this program is that it rewards me whenever I bring my friends and acquaintances on board. Another upside is that it doesn’t forget my friends, as they also get gifts. You’ll need to complete KYC verification before joining this program. You must also satisfy the trading milestone requirement within your first 720 hours (320 days) after registration. Your friend also needs to meet the same requirements to grab their reward.
As with most promotions at Crypto.com, the referral rewards may vary based on your state of residence and are based on cumulative trading milestones within 30 days. Here are some of the rewards you may receive and the trading milestones you need to hit when using the app.
- Both you and your friend will receive $5 if your trading volume sits at $100
- Meeting the $1,000-trading volume milestone will give you and your BFF $25
- The maximum you and your can get with the referral program is $75, which you receive after completing a $5,000 trading volume requirement.

While I spotted a VIP program, this is not designed for prediction trading. Based on my observations, the Crypto.com Exchange VIP Club has been upgraded and features two components: VIP Tag and VIP Tier. The former unlocks non-fee VIP privileges, while the latter determines if you’ll qualify for VIP trading fees.

tied to VIP crypto trading, along with white-glove support, OTC trading eligibility, more sub-accounts, and exclusive events. I think we can all agree that the main perk here is the VIP trading fees. Again, none of these apply to the prediction markets.

In addition to crypto trading, Crypto.com also allows you to trade contracts on various markets in different categories, with sports being the most popular one. I also found that the site covers 10 sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, and tennis. The markets available for sports event trading are winner, where you predict who is going to win a given game; totals, which involves predicting whether the score of the two teams will either be over or under a specified number of points when added together; and spread, which lets you predict who you think will win a given game once a point spread has been applied.
We want to point out that you won't be able to trade on contracts if you live in Maryland, Nevada, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, or New Jersey.
