bet-at-home Bonus Offer: rewards for signing up

Positive
Negative
  • Comprehensive eSports coverage, including a wide range of markets and competitive odds.
  • Wide range of other markets, ‘from football to the weather’.
  • Decent welcome bonus for both the casino and sportsbook sections of the site.
  • Not currently licensed to operate in the US.
  • No 24/7 customer support (although you can still get help for most hours of the day).

One of our favorite things about bet-at-home, as you can see from the pros and cons above, is the fact that they offer a bonus for both the sportsbook and the casino areas. These are different bonuses, and it appears to be the case that it is possible to claim both, should you wish to be involved with both casino games and sports betting.

Here’s an overview of what to expect from the bonuses:

  • Casino: get a 100% matched deposit up to €200, or a 50% matched deposit up to €1000. Although the latter can be more valuable, we imagine that most of our readers will be taking up the former offer. It gets straight to the point and doesn’t require a huge investment right off the bat.
  • Sportsbook: claim a free €10 bet just for signing up. That’s it! No bet-at-home bonus code is required as the free bet will simply be credited to your account once you have completed the signup process.

It turns out you don’t actually have to bet at home with bet-at-home as this bookmaker offers a mobile app. Actually, bet-at-home offers a couple of different mobile apps: one for sports betting and one for ‘Vegas’, the casino wing of the site. They’re available for Android and iOS, so it doesn’t matter which manufacturer of smartphone you have as you will be able to download the app regardless.

Both the mobile app and the website are simple to use and effective. They may not be the most visually striking of sites, but they do the job to a satisfactory standard.

Payments - deposit and withdrawal methods

While most players use VISA and Mastercard to make their deposits for online sportsbooks and casinos, it’s always nice to have other options available for the players who need it.

bet-at-home kindly provides a wealth of deposit methods to suit all types of punters, so this should not have a negative impact on any bet-at-home reviews. Of course, this will vary from country to country, but here’s a look at the payment methods available for UK-based players:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Trustly
  • Skrill
  • Neteller

Customer Support: help when you need it

One of the areas that lets bet-at-home down a little is the fact that it does not offer 24/7 customer support. This might not seem too drastic, and the chances are that you will never need to reach out to someone in the middle of the night. But, if that problem does present itself for whatever reason (deposits aren’t working, you can’t load your favorite casino game, you’re struggling to place a bet, etc.), you’re going to want to get support there and then.

Most betting sites actually do offer 24/7 support in the form of a live chat so if you are looking to bet late at night, you may wish to look elsewhere. That being said, you’ll still be able to reach out to someone most hours of the day at bet-at-home.

License & Security: Where you can play

bet-at-home is licensed to do business through Malta just like the majority of online bookmakers and casinos, but it is actually based out of Düsseldorf in Germany. In terms of the countries that it can be played in, most of Europe is covered with the exception of France.

However, it is not currently possible to play with bet-at-home in the US. If you’re looking to play in North America, you’ll need to skip over the border to Canada, where it is allowed.

In terms of payment security, a lot of people will be asking ‘is bet-at-home safe?’. A sensible question, but one that can be answered with a swift ‘yes’. All of the money in your bet-at-home will be protected, and bet-at-home is licensed by eCOGRA which means it practices safe gambling.

Rewards & Loyalty Program: After the bonus

We touched on a couple of enticing bonuses for both the casino and the sportsbook at bet-at-home earlier on, but what happens when you have played through your welcome bonus? This is an area where a lot of casinos or sportsbooks fall down, as if there are no ongoing bonuses, there is no reason for the customer to stay really.

So, how does bet-at-home get on in this situation? Well, not so good. There does not appear to be any ongoing offers for customers of bet-at-home. This could be considered a red flag in some bet-at-home reviews.

bet-at-home Sports Betting

bet-at-home Sports Betting

Moving into the physical domain, it’s time to take a look at how bet-at-home fares when it comes to sports betting. We’re talking about soccer, hockey, tennis - you name it! Nothing virtual about this section.

We’re happy to say that bet-at-home takes its regular sports just as seriously as it does its eSports. At bet-at-home, you can bet on tonnes of different sports. But the excitement does not end there!

Within those sports, bet-at-home offers a wide range of markets which means that you can bet on anything from who is going to win the Super Bowl to how many yellow cards a French Ligue 2 soccer team receives in a particular match.

By the way, if you need help choosing what to bet on at bet-at-home, you can check out Betfan reviews for professional tips.

Odds

Again, bet-at-home fares well when it comes to odds. We checked out a few different markets from a variety of sports to see if what bet-at-home was competitive, and the results came back good. It won on a few markets and lost in others, but that’s just the way online bookmaking goes!

Live Betting & Streaming

It’s not yet possible to live stream any sports on bet-at-home, nor do you get live graphics like you can see on some of its competitors' sites. This is a little disappointing, but on the plus side, bet-at-home keeps you up to date with all of the highlights of the games including stats and scores.

Limits

A lot of casinos will put limits on the amount of cash that can be withdrawn from a single transaction. There are multiple financial reasons for that. At bet-at-home, the withdrawal limit is £100,000 per week if you are based in the UK or €100,000 for European customers.

This should not have much of an effect for most customers. Even if you do hit the big bucks in a casino game or with a sports bet, you can just cash out in installments. This figure should not exactly ruin any bet-at-home reviews.

Product Summary & Conclusion

Overall, bet-at-home offers a pretty strong sportsbook. There is a decent range of markets that compliment some competitive odds, the ideal combination for a bookmaker. If there was one change we could make to the sportsbook here, it would be to introduce some live streaming, or at least a graphic that allows you to see what is happening in some detail. Maybe this will be introduced later down the line!

bet-at-home Casino

bet-at-home Casino

It often proves to be difficult for a site that focuses more heavily on its sportsbook than on its casino games for it to have an exciting casino option. Fortunately, bet-at-home checks out quite well in this department. The bet-at-home casino isn’t the best in the world, and other bet-at-home reviews will agree with this, but it certainly does the job and will keep most players satisfied. Let’s find out some more about it.

For a casino to have access to a wide range of casino games, it needs to do business with a wide range of casino software providers. These are the people who develop the games, and if you (as an online casino site) can get some of the big names to work with you, then you will be taken seriously.

There is a little work to be done here. bet-at-home does not have a huge range of software providers in its list of clients. In fact, its only big-name deal is with NetEnt. That being said, if you’re only going to have one software provider, then NetEnt would probably be a good choice! These guys have some of the best online slot games of all time to their name, so let’s take a look at a few of those.

Game Portfolio

NetEnt, the one and only casino game provider to bet-at-home was formed all the way back in 1996 and since then, have gone on to make some of the best online slot games of all time, as well as other casino games such as blackjack and roulette.

Here are some of our favorites from them. You might want to check these out if you decide to sign up for an account at bet-at-home:

  • Starburst
  • Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead
  • Neon Staxx
  • Arabian Nights
  • Jack Hammer 2

And the good news is that you can play all of these epic slot games at bet-at-home. That being said, if you’re looking for an online sportsbook that offers a wider range of casino games, you might want to check out our answer to the question of ‘is BetWarrior safe?’

Live Casino

Unfortunately, if you’re looking to play casino live at bet-at-home then you will have no such luck. You can play the likes of blackjack, roulette and poker but there does not appear to be any live variations of these games at this stage in time.

Maybe in the future bet-at-home will bring on some more software providers who will bring some live casino games to the table. Until that point, you’ll need to look elsewhere if you wish to play along with a live dealer.

Limits

Just like with the bet-at-home sportsbook, the withdrawal limit here is £100,000 or €100,000. Again, this shouldn’t cause too much of a problem unless you are lucky enough to hit a massive progressive jackpot with a slot game and win millions.

Even if that does happen to be the case, you’ll still be able to withdraw on a week by week basis - it just might take some time to have all your winnings awarded to you. We can certainly think of worse problems to have.

Product Summary & Conclusion

For a casino that only offers games from one software provider, bet-at-home does a pretty good job. It made a wise choice by bringing NetEnt on board, as this company is arguably the best in the game when it comes to developing online slot games (and other casino games from time to time).

bet-at-home Esports

bet-at-home eSports

If you’re hoping for some bet-at-home eSports then you’re in luck! bet-at-home eSports exists and it is quite pleasing indeed. Let’s take a closer look at the ins and outs of it.

Games

There is a wide selection of eSports games to bet on at bet-at-home. All of the big names are there! Here is a selection of what’s available to bet on game-wise right now:

  • League of Legends
  • CS:GO
  • Dota 2
  • FIFA
  • Overwatch

There are even virtual sports to enjoy. While these are not as popular as classic eSports, they do offer some entertainment. If you’re not familiar with virtual sports as a concept, they are effectively animated versions of real sports where the outcome is controlled by a computer. In this sense, it’s kind of halfway between sports betting and casino games.

Tournaments

Within the broad spectrum of eSports games that bet-at-home has to offer, there are, of course, plenty of tournaments. Within all of the games we listed above (and more!), there are multiple tournaments. You’d be hard pressed to find a time where there are no ongoing eSports tournaments to bet on at bet-at-home.

Odds

It’s all well and good having a wide selection of games and tournaments, but what about the betting itself? How much cash can you win if you put down a bet on one of those eSports matches? To find this out, we need to check out the eSports odds.

The majority of bet-at-home reviews are in agreement that the odds on this site are competitive. This means that while some markets could be beaten by other sites, bet-at-home checks out on average. You can bet with bet-at-home safe in the knowledge that you will be getting a fair price on your bets in most cases.

Live Betting and Streaming

Right now, it is not possible to live stream eSports at bet-at-home, however there are plenty of opportunities to place live, in-play bets. You should be able to place a bet on most markets no matter how through the match or tournament.

One feature that a lot of online bookmakers do offer as a compromise to not actually being able to show the live streams is a graphic that represents the matches. For example, in soccer, you will be able to see which player has the ball at any one time and whereabouts on the field they are. The same can be said for eSports. Again, this is not yet possible at bet-at-home, and we hope that they do something about that as soon as possible!

Product Summary & Conclusion

We’re really pleased to see bet-at-home taking its eSports seriously. Some online bookies neglect their eSports sections, offering only a handful of games and tournaments, if any at all. Any bet-at-home reviews will be putting the company in a positive light for their positive and confident approach to the world of eSports. We hope that there will be some live streaming soon!

bet-at-home Reviews FAQ

🎰How many slot games can I choose from at the bet-at-home casino?

You might think that having just one software provider working with them would have a detrimental impact on the range of choice available when it comes to online slot games on the casino section of the site, but this is not the case.

bet-at-home chose wisely, and they selected NetEnt, one of the biggest and best online slot game providers in the world. There are over 100 casino games available at bet-at-home, all from NetEnt and mostly slots, so take your pick. We recommended some of our favorites earlier on in this article.

🤩Which bonuses are available when I sign up for a new account at bet-at-home?

Whether you wish to bet on sports with bet-at-home, or if you will be spending your time in the casino department, then you will be treated to some form of a welcome bonus. You can get a 100% matched deposit at the casino (on your first deposit) or enjoy a free €10 bet if you sign up for the sportsbook.

In fact, if you like the sound of both areas of the site, there is nothing stopping you from cashing in on both of these awesome bonuses!

📺Can I watch games and matches live as I bet on them?

We love being able to actually watch live sports as we bet on them as it makes the whole gambling experience that much more immersive. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to do this at bet-at-home. In fairness to them, a lot of licenses are required to offer this feature, so maybe they’ll get onto this one day.

One thing you can do is bet live. The odds will constantly evolve as each live sporting competition goes on, so whether you’re betting on a last minute goal or a shocking final hole on the golf, you’ll be able to put some cash down most of the time.

🎮Are there any sites out there that are more specialized when it comes to eSports betting?

bet-at-home does a pretty good job of its eSports betting, offering a comprehensive range of games and tournaments to bet on. That’s more than can be said of a lot of online sportsbooks! However, if you’re looking for eSports and eSports only, you might want to check out our Betspawn ratings.

🚀Is it possible to bet with bet-at-home in the US?

If you’re based in North America, you’d better hope you’re north of the Canadian border if you want to bet with bet-at-home. That’s because bet-at-home is not currently licensed to do business in the US. That could change any day though! Keep an eye out for it if bet-at-home is calling out to you.

Is bet-at-home Legit? Our overall conclusion

Our thoughts on bet-at-home are a bit of a mixed bag. While many bet-at-home decry the site for being a little visually plain and lacking on existing bonuses, we do feel that there are some exciting salvaging factors.

These include a decent welcome bonus, a wide range of markets and a solid eSports section which is something that is lacking on a lot of sportsbook sites. Most eSports gambling reviews will likely nod towards bet-at-home.

So, our overall bet-at-home rating? Probably about a 6/10.
