Hey, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m Josh, your friendly neighborhood casino and betting expert.
I’ve always been the quirky guy who wants to go to the arcade and play pretend-slot games. Yes, this was before the invention of the smartphone and app stores. Growing up in Hamilton, ONT, we had lots of cool joints where you could play arcade games. What can I say? That’s where my love for casinos started.
As a kid, I wanted to open up my own casino when I grew up, but back then, the legal framework around casino gambling and online casinos and sportsbooks were way different.
I attended Toronto University to complete a double-major in English and Economics, and this was when I started looking into online casinos, the legalization of online casinos in the US, and how online casinos operate in other parts of the world.
My childhood love for hockey also got me interested in sports betting, and I started checking out the lines before major league games and looking at my betting options. Before I finished my degree, I was completely hooked and was looking for a way to combine my love for online betting and casino knowledge with my day job.
In 2020, I attended the Global Gaming Expo in the US to write a news piece for the media company I was working at and the rest is history. I now have the pleasure of writing online gambling reviews and news articles and also offering top tips to online gambling fans right here in Ontario.
I regularly attend iGaming events to keep you up to date on the latest news and events in the world of online gambling. Casino or sportsbook, you may ask? Well, although sports betting has become one of my top hobbies, I’ll always have more affection for online casino gaming and its alluring nature.
