

Betting in New York has been legalized, and with that, a whole swarm of the finest sportsbooks have signed up to run shop in the state. At the moment, there are nine sportsbooks that are legal in New York state. It’s important to remember the New York Gaming Commission are dealing with many new factors with this new legislation, so their qualifying regulations may be a little strict at the time being.
The nine bookmakers that have met those regulations have gone through a stringent series of quality testing, and negotiating tax rates before they could begin business in the state.
DraftKings, Caesars, Fanduel, BetMGM, WynnBet, Bally Bet, Betrivers, Pointsbet and Resorts are all available to play with in New York. Bet365 also made it to the finalist stage of qualification, but the New York Gaming Commission ultimately rejected their entry attempts.
The New York Gaming Commission has also promised to host the platforms gaming technology, as well as provide gaming technology so their betting platforms could get up and running as quick as possible.
When speaking about the entry of the new sportsbooks, Senator Joseph P Addabbo expressed his anticipation of the gaming industry in New York.
“It’s exciting. This is obviously the moment we’ve waited for on Saturday (the 8th). We’re primed for a lot of success here in New York and I appreciate what the New York Gaming Commission has done.
