The leaks and rumors have been around since 2022 when Riot Games put out job adverts for console game developers. But will we finally see Valorant on Xbox and PlayStation in 2024?
Possibly, while nothing concrete has been said from official Riot Games sources, there have been a few promising leaks from some reliable sources. A full 2024 release looks unlikely, but test versions could very well be on their way sooner than you think.
Valorant, the FPS from Riot Games, first launched on PC to much fanfare back in 2020, keeping us going through those long lockdown days. Since then, the mobile portal has been released and it has become a popular market on the top esports betting sites.
Back in 2022, there were two solid signs that a release for Valorant on Xbox, PlayStation, and other consoles was on the horizon:
In the 18 months - two years since the initial hints that it was coming to console, we have seen little movement, not officially at least. There has been no exact Valorant released date touted by either Riot Games official sources or any reliable third parties/ leaks.
It is unlikely that we will see a full Valorant console launch this year. However, there is some hope, as there have been strong suggestions that a test run could take place sometime in 2024.
Riot Games has a history of this, especially with its flagship game Valorant. In the final quarter of 2023, they did a closed beta test of the mobile portal in China.
Valorant will more than likely arrive on Xbox at the same time as it does on PlayStation and other consoles. For PC gamers, there’s already a way to unlock extra Valorant features with the Xbox Game Pass.
Some people mistakenly think that Valorant is on Xbox already because of the Game Pass, but this is not the case. However, what you can do is install the Xbox app on your PC and get the Xbox Game Pass to unlock extra content on Valorant.
Here’s everything that you can unlock by doing so:
You might not be able to play Valorant on Xbox just yet, but it is available for betting on many esports sportsbooks. If you’re looking for a welcome offer, you can check out the sports betting apps that give free money here at Strafe.
Since we don’t have an exact Valorant console release date just yet, the only thing that we can do is wait. In the meantime, we can of course keep playing Valorant on PC and mobile.
When more leaks and official information is released by Riot Games, we will be the first to let you know. So make sure to bookmark this page and revisit us from time to time for updates.
