dota-2

One of the biggest names in eSports has made its anticipated arrival into the Dota 2 pro circuit by picking up the Team Undying roster in North America. It had always been surprising to most in the Dota 2 scene that one of the biggest eSports organizations in the world had yet to pick up a team in an eSport with the biggest prize pools by some distance. Now though, those days are gone as Team Solo Mid have finally arrived to take the Dota 2 world by storm.

The roster they have picked up in Team Undying, is a solid group of players that performed exceptionally well in their first season in division 1 of the NA circuit. The team consists of the following players:

Position 1 (carry) - Timado

Position 2 (mid laner) - Bryle

Position 3 (offlane) - SabeRLight

Position 4 (soft support) - MoonMeander (captain)

Position 5 (hard support) - DuBu

TSM expanding their reach

TSM as an organization have spread far and wide into the world of eSports. They currently have teams all participating in major eSports such as Valorant, League of Legends, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, Apex Legends and more. This is why it is even more sursiping that they have taken so long to pick a team in one of eSports’ highest grossing games in Dota 2.

While it may have taken them longer than expected to arrive, they have picked up a team with heaps of potential. The roster they have picked up for their organization is not necessarily a young team, in fact, players like Bryle, MoonMeander and DuBu have been on the scene for many years now. That's the thing about Dota 2 as an eSport though, all it takes is for the right group of players to finally gel together as a team. That has seemingly happened for these players at this stage in their career. They performed excellently in the NA division 1 season and they only just missed out on claiming 2nd position.

TSM as a betting prospect for the future

With TSM now behind this group of players and after the season they have already had, there could be great things on the horizon for this team. The roster will now have far greater funding and resources at their disposal which means bigger and better bootcamps, better training facilities and more. This will only service the team in their efforts to take the next steps. They performed admirably at the International 10 as a relatively new squad and since then they have gone from strength to strength.

This does now beg the question, how far can they go in season 2 of NA division 1? The first major of the year may have been canceled but it seems the 2nd will go ahead as planned. This means that TSM will have a decent chance of qualifying to a major on their very first go around as an organization in the Dota 2 circuit. As such, we have tipped TSM as one of our dark horses to qualify out of division 1 in the top 2 at the very least. We’ll be keeping a close eye on how they progress when the season begins but we have high hopes for this internationally diverse group of players to take massive strides towards the 2nd major and beyond.
