It’s nearly time for the Blast Premier World Final to kick off. This hugely anticipated esports tournament takes place in Abu Dhabi from December 14 to 18 and it promises to round off an enthralling year of Counter Strike gaming.
Tickets are already on sale for the main event which features the world’s eight best CSGO teams. The competition has only been running since January 2020, but it is already gaining a big reputation for serving up superior gaming. So who has the best chance of succeeding Natus Vincere as being the Blast Premier World Finals champions?
FaZe Clan are the clear favorites to win the 2022 Blast Premier World Finals. Most US gambling sites will give the team relatively short odds to succeed given their emphatic victory at the ESL Pro League 15. Not that this was a one-off performance as FaZe Clan have shown a consistency to gain key results in tricky circumstances with the win at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 being a case in point. This triumph has taken FaZe Clan over 500 points ahead of their nearest rivals and it’s hard to see anyone stopping them.
NAVI are next in line in the odds for winning the Blast Premier World Finals at most new US betting sites. The team put in some commanding performances early in the year with a dramatic win at the Blast Premier Spring Final being a case in point. But whether NAVI can maintain the consistency required to win the World Finals remains to be seen.
Heroic are widely tipped as being this tournament’s ‘dark horses’. The team have just a couple of hundred less points than NAVI, but they have the potential to provide plenty of upsets. Anyone who saw Heroic’s triumph at the Blast Premier Fall Final will know that this is an esports organization to be reckoned with and it’s easy to see them going far at the World Finals.
Elsewhere, many gamers will be watching the Vitality team with interest. This organization is ranked just outside the top three in the points standings, and while they might not be among the immediate favorites, the fact that they could win the ESL Pro League 16 should not be underestimated.
The same is true for Outsiders who ran riot at IEM Rio Major and will be mystified as to why they don’t have more points following this tournament-winning performance. Other teams making appearances in the Blast Premier World Finals include the ever-reliable G2 Esports, the hotly-tipped OG Esports, and Team Liquid who will be especially keen to prove their doubters wrong.
Teams notable for their absence from this year’s World Finals include the likes of ENCE, NIP, Astralis and FURIA. While each of these teams put in strong performances throughout the course of the regular season, they failed to collect enough points to qualify for the main event. So keep your eye on the sports betting news to see who’ll win this year’s World Finals.
