You probably know Jake Yip better as ‘Stewie2k’, from his success as a Counter Strike: Global Offensive player. But, the major-winning, CS:GO veteran has now dedicated a lot of his streaming time to Valorant, and is rated as ‘Radiant’ in the CS:GO ranking system. In this article, I am going to break down the following Stewie2k Valorant settings:
In January 2022 Stewie2k signed for Evil Geniuses. He announced that he was going to be stepping away from competitive gaming to focus on streaming both Valorant and CS:GO. So, he hasn’t quite given up on CS:GO, he’s just diversifying a bit these days.
As a Valorant fan, this is great news for me, as Yip’s style of Valorant gameplay is always exciting. He’s best known for his great aim and offensive playing style (even as an IGL) so it’s no wonder that he frequently has 1.2 million streamers following his games. Many players naturally want to copy his style and of course his settings, so let’s take a look.
When it comes to the Valorant ranking system, having a good aim is probably the most important aspect of the game. Stewie2k is well-renowned for his aim, so trying out his crosshair settings could well be a good way to try to improve your own.
Stewie2k’s crosshair settings have changed since he first started streaming. Where originally he opted for a thicker crosshair, he has since reduced its length and thickness. You’ll see that he uses white as his crosshair color to provide optimal clarity, which is an essential when playing Valorant.
Category | Setting |
---|---|
Color | White |
Outlines | Off |
Center Dot | Off |
Inner Lines (Opacity / Length / Thickness / Offset) | 1/3/2/2 |
Movement Error (Inner Lines) | Off |
Firing Error (Inner Lines) | Off |
Movement Error (Outer Lines) | Off |
Firing Error (Outer Lines) | Off |
Mouse settings are also extremely important when it comes to playing Valorant. At the end of the day your mouse settings dictate the speed at which you can aim, in addition to how accurate you can be.
While it is tempting to try out Stewie2k’s mouse settings, he does have it set quite high with an eDPI of 320. Stewie2k’s aim is notorious, and it makes sense that he is able to operate with his eDPI set so high
Category | Setting |
---|---|
DPI | 800 |
Polling Rate (Hz) | 1000 |
Sensitivity | 0.4 |
Scoped Sensitivity Multiplier | 1.2 |
eDPI | 320 |
Windows Sensitivity | 6/11 |
As is the case with many Valorant streamers, Stewie2k makes no significant changes to his default keyboard settings, with one exception. To jump, Stewie K makes use of the keyboard space bar, in conjunction with his mouse wheel, which is fairly unusual and something I’ve never tried.
Action | Key |
---|---|
Walk | L-Shift |
Jump | Space, Mouse Wheel Down |
Crouch | L-Ctrl |
Aim Down Sights | Toggle |
Sniper Rifle Aim | Hold |
Operator Zoom | Toggle |
Auto Re-enter Scope | On |
Reload | R |
Equip Primary Weapon | 1 |
Equip Secondary Weapon | 2 |
Equip Melee Weapon | 3 |
Equip Spike | 4 |
Use Object | F |
Use/Equip Ability 1 | C |
Use/Equip Ability 2 | Q |
Use/Equip Ability 3 | E |
Use/Equip Ability Ultimate | X |
Although Stewie2k’s majors have come from his time playing CS:GO, there’s nothing much wrong with his Valorant efforts, I’ll vouch for that. Copying the way that the best gamers play is definitely one of the better ways to improve your own Valorant skills and there’s nothing to stop you trying out his settings. Just remember that they’ll work best when they are coupled with an offensive style of play.
