The R6 mobile release date has 100% been confirmed for 2024, with the app already showing up in the Google Play and App Store. If you register for pre-installation now, the app will automatically install on the launch date - or before if youâre lucky enough to be chosen for Early Access.
In autumn 2023, a âsoft launchâ of the iOS and Android versions of the app were made available in Canada. Meanwhile, players in Mexico can now access the Android versions only and the iOS version is live in Colombia.
Since Ubisoft first teased us with some images and in-game footage of the mobile version of Tom Clancyâs Rainbow Six, fans have been clamoring to get a shot. Well folks, weâre pleased to say that the wait is almost overâŠ
For some of you, the wait is already over, as soft launches of the iOS and/or Android app took place in Canada, Mexico, and Colombia towards the end of 2023. For the rest of the world, it has been confirmed for 2024.
So when is R6 Mobile coming out exactly?Â
We donât yet have a specific release date, but in its soft launch announcement in Summer 2023, Ubisoft stated that all other territories (besides Canada, Mexico, and Colombia) would be seeing the game in 2024.
Weâre completely speculating here, but given that the app is fully developed, save for a few tweaks, we donât expect to be waiting long. Weâre thinking summer 2024 at the absolute latest for most territories, but even a spring release looks likely.
Either way, weâll keep you posted here at Strafe.
One of the main reasons why weâre so sure that the Rainbow Six Siege mobile release date will be sooner, rather than later, is that you can already pre-register for app installation in most regions.
If you search for the app in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), you can click the âInstallâ button. When you do so, you will officially be registered and the app will automatically install on your phone on the release date.
You will be notified when the app is about to be installed, and you also have the option to opt-in for pre-registration notifications for other mobile games.
One of the main perks of pre-registering ahead of the official R6 mobile release date is that you might be invited to get early access ahead of the launch. There are no specific criteria or targeted regions for this, it appears to be based on luck.
Still, youâve got to be in it to win it, so you might as well pre-register for installation now. It is free after all!
Now letâs get to the money side - how much will the Rainbow Six Mobile app set you back? Like most mobile versions of popular esports games, this app is free to download, install, and play.
There are optional in-app purchases, which range in price from $1.39 for the Pack of Platinum 1 up to $129.99 for the Pack of Platinum 6. Additionally, there are a couple of âSpecial Offersâ for purchase in the iOS version and you can grab the Caveira Recruitment Pack for $4.99.
When it comes to Rainbow Six betting, there might be some official tournaments and contests that the sportsbooks cover. However, we donât expect it to be widespread as esports teams and events runners tend to stick to PC and console versions of games.
As mobile versions of games are usually complete redevelopments, cross-platform gaming is virtually impossible. That being said, you can still find and compare the best Rainbow Six odds on your phone using one of our recommended esports mobile apps and betting sites.
If youâre lucky enough to find yourself in Canada, Mexico, or Colombia right now, you can already download and play Rainbow Six Siege on your mobile or tablet. The rest of you donât have long to wait, as itâs 100% on its way sometime in 2024.
Remember, you can already pre-register for installation so will be able to play it the second it arrives.Â
