The PGL Arlington Major tournament is coming up soon, and fans of the game are gearing up for an exciting event. Sadly, only 17 teams will be competing in this tournament for a chance at the $500,000 prize pool.
Some of the best teams in the world will be participating, including OG, TeamLiquid, and PSG.LGD. So far, there has been no clear favorite to win the tournament which should make for some very exciting matches when it comes to Dota Major betting. Let's take a closer look.
As we all know, the PGL Arlington Major will begin on August 4th. It will be the 12th Major of Dota Pro Circuit and is hosted by PGL. The venue for this event is the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas. At first, there were supposed to be 18 teams but Xtreme Gaming had to withdraw from the tournament due to their inability to get visas. However, we're still in for a show and great gaming as well as some Dota 2 bets.
The format will be standard as 17 teams will be divided into two groups where 4 top teams will go directly into the winner bracket while the 5th and 6th go into the lower bracket. The remaining teams will be eliminated from the tournament. This shows us that every match is valuable and worth winning. Therefore, teams will be ready to give their best. As for the cast, you can expect some serious desk hosts with lots of entertaining content.
Looking at the teams that are participating, we can say that there are no clear favorites. All of the teams have been preparing for this tournament and they all have a chance to win. However, if we had to choose one team that is slightly ahead of the others, it would be OG. They are in a good shape and they have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with. Also, their coach and position 5 player, Misha, couldn't get to the USA so they had to go with the talented Ceb once again. Remember, CEB was a big part of the reason they won the ESL One Stockholm 2022.
As for the rest of the teams, we have Team Secret, PSG.LGD, Evil Geniuses, and many more. All of these teams are very strong and they have what it takes to win the tournament. It is going to be a close competition and we can't wait to see who comes out on top. EG is definitely looking to get this one as they are playing at home basically. So, buckle up and find yourself a nice bookie because the PGL Arlington Major is about to begin.
As we already said, every team is strong in its own way, but some are stronger than others. However, there are always teams that manage to surprise us and exceed our expectations. In this case, we're talking about the underdogs of the tournament. These are the teams that are not expected to win but have a chance to cause an upset. One of those teams surely is the Royal Never Give Up. This Chinese stack is so talented and motivated to take the tournament by storm. It's important to mention that their carry player ''Ghost'' was unable to come to the USA so they asked Ana to stand in.
If the team captain ''xNova'' do well on the draft, Ana will get his comfort heroes which is definitely something everyone is scared of. Apart from RNG, another great team to look out closely for is the Quincy Crew. These guys dominated the NA region so much in the last couple of years, but they never had the chance to compete with the world. Now, they have a lot to show and are definitely one of the most surprising picks in the whole tournament.
To sum it all up, the PGL Arlington Major is going to be an amazing event with some great teams competing. As of now, there are no clear favorites but we're sure that will change as the tournament goes on. Be sure to follow the matches closely and maybe even place a bet or two. Who knows, you might just get lucky.
