Overwatch launches new hero Sierra: what you need to know

Overwatch regularly launches brand new heroes to keep gameplay fresh for players, while also giving bettors someone new to place wagers on. What we see in the trailer is that once the rifle has locked onto a target, it will follow through on that target regardless of where they move to. A closer look at Sierra’s abilities

Now that we’ve gone over a brief description of Sierra’s abilities, let’s take a closer look at what she could bring to your Overwatch games.

Helix Rifle

First of all we have the Helix Rifle which is an Automatic assault weapon that can lock onto targets. The rifle itself shoots in a spiral pattern that’s likely familiar to many players. The targeted approach of this weapon means that you’ll be able to be much more accurate in your aim. This is called a Tracking Shot and it basically means that your Helix Rifle shots will automatically track marked enemies.

Tremor Charge

These can be very handy if you want to knock an enemy out of balance. You can throw a Tremour Charge and it will create a shockwave where it lands. This shockwave has a huge impact on the enemy, knocking them down or back and at that point, you can target them with the Helix Rifle. We find this useful when you’re dealing with a particularly strong enemy as it can give you an upper hand.

Anchor Drone

This is a really cool feature as instead of having to launch an anchor on a wall or cliff etc, you can anchor yourself to the drone. So how does this work? Well, you simply aim where you’d like to be anchors and launch your drone into this spot. Then reactive the drone to grapple it and you’ll be pulled up to it’s position. We find this to be yourself when having to traverse a particularly uneven terrain or you just want to get over to an enemy quickly.

Trailblazer

Again we’re seeing that Sierra’s drone really is the star of the show. With the Trailblazer function, you can deploy your drone over to any enemies in the distance and drop explosives on them. This is very useful if there are quite a few enemies coming at you and you need to clear as many of them as possible. It’s also great for distance combat, as you can drop enemies without having to get too close.
