There are 39 Overwatch characters in total, which are divided into three key in-game roles - Take Damage and Support. Part of the reason why this game appeals to a wide fanbase is that the characters cover a wide variety of ages, genders, and backgrounds.
But have you ever wondered how old each character is? In the article below, we have provided you with the Overwatch ages for all 39 characters, and we have even included their birthdays as a special extra.
Since the game was first released, fans have engaged with the 39 heroes in the game. Due to the diverse nature of the character pool, you are sure to find a character that suits your playing style and in-game needs.
However, as is always the case, as Overwatch fans we were quickly curious to know more about our favorite characters. Blizzard Entertainment were quick to catch on to this and soon gave us what we wanted.
For years now, we have been able to explore the backstory and lore of each character, as well as finer details, including height. However, the Overwatch character ages were only released relatively recently.
When the Overwatch ages were initially released, some people at Blizzard Entertainment clearly didn’t think things through. Fans were quick to point out that certain character ages didn’t add up with the lore and backstory.
Most of these ages were quickly rectified, but there are a few that still stand out. For example, in Kiriko’s backstory, it is said that she trained with the Shimada Clan brothers (Genji and Hanzo) when the three of them were children.
However, given that Kiriko is 21 and Genji and Hanzo are 37 and 40 respectively, that wouldn’t have been possible.
This is one that surprised a few fans, as many of us assumed that the sassy Southern US leader of the Deadlock Gang was a twentysomething whippersnapper. However, when the ages were officially released, we discovered that she is in fact in her early 40s.
There’s also some additional confusion as two ages have been touted for Ashe, but we can confirm what age she is in both Overwatch series games:
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, there are four characters in their 60s, with the oldest of them being Sigma at 64 years. He is closely followed by Reinhardt at 63 years old.
Orisa, the Tank Hero and Guardian Robot is the youngest character at just one year old. Meanwhile, Illari is the youngest human character aged 18 years.
In the table below, you can check out a complete list of the ages of all Overwatch characters:
