How does rank work in Overwatch 2?

So how does ranking work in Overwatch 2? Actually, it’s pretty simple and follows much the same structure as most FPS games. You have Nine tiers in total, eight regular tiers plus the Top 500 for each region.

When playing online games competitively, you are grouped with players within two ranks of your own when you are in Bronze to Diamond tiers. In master, Grandmaster, and Champion tiers, you can play against players within three divisions of your own.
