Another Halloween Terror down, and this year’s batch absolutely delivered. From Haunted Masquerade to some of the creepiest new skins we’ve seen in years, Season 19 made it worth logging in just to flex something cursed.
In this Overwatch 2 Halloween skins summary, I’m recapping the best of the best, what looked sick, what stood out in-game, and which skins were worth the grind (or splurge). Overwatch 2 has over 70 Halloween skins now, and not all of them hit. Here’s my shortlist of the spookiest, most replay-worthy skins from Halloween 2025.

This year’s event ran from October 14 to November 3 – you may have spotted it on Overwatch betting sites – with Season 19’s “Haunted Masquerade” theme bringing back classic modes and throwing in a few fun curveballs. All the core Junkenstein co-op modes returned. Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride, alongside the new Haunted Masquerade PvP mode. The big new twist was Haunted Masquerade, a 6v6 PvP mode where heroes picked up magical masks mid-match for wild ability buffs tied to Overwatch lore. It was more fun than expected, especially paired with the eerie visual rework on certain maps.
And of course, skins were everywhere. All the legacy Halloween Terror skins came back via the Hero Gallery or shop bundles, 750 Credits for epic, 1,500 for legendary. New ones like Cursed Teddy Zenyatta landed in the Season 19 battle pass, alongside Legendary costumes Oni Cassidy and Vampire Moira, which were also part of the premium pass rather than shop-only bundles.
This isn’t just a “what looked cool” list. Here’s what I was thinking:
I leaned toward skins that actually felt like Halloween. Ghost stories, monsters, banshees, stitched abominations, folklore spirits. A recolour with purple mist doesn’t make the cut. These are the ones that brought real spooky flavour.
Even the coolest horror skin falls apart if you can’t see ability wind-ups or head hitboxes. Everything on this list still plays clean in PvP and the co‑op modes. No visual clutter, no unintentionally busted silhouettes.
Overwatch loves leaning into myths and seasonal stories, and those skins land hardest. Anything tied to Junkenstein, Celtic folklore, Norse undead, Korean spirits, or classic horror tropes scored extra points for me.
Every skin here was genuinely obtainable during Halloween Terror 2025, either through the Hero Gallery, shop rotations, or the Season 19 battle pass. No FOMO skins from years ago that you can’t realistically get now.

Here’s my personal top 10. Some are classics, some are new drops, but they all nailed the spooky vibe this year.
| 👤 Skin | 💡 Hero | 👻 Spooky Factor |
|---|---|---|
| Witch | Mercy | Timeless Halloween aesthetic with VO and FX |
| Dragon | Symmetra | Full creature form with horns glow and claws |
| Junkenstein’s Monster | Roadhog | Franken-hog stomps back into co-op boss form |
| Dr. Junkenstein | Junkrat | Mad science FX core to Junkenstein lore |
| Banshee | Moira | Myth-inspired ghost look with eerie presence |
| Shin-Ryeong | D.Va | Korean temple spirit theme with fox-spirit mech |
| Zombie Doctor | Mercy | Undead nurse aesthetic with stitched mask |
| Jack-O’-Lantern | Wrecking Ball | Pumpkin mech and scarecrow Hammond |
| Draugr | Reinhardt | Undead Norse knight with spectral blue glow |
| Cursed Teddy | Zenyatta | Stitched bear mask with disturbing dark FX |
Still the queen of Halloween, almost a decade later. Witch Mercy had everything, broom staff, glowing book, signature VO lines, and it still felt clean and readable in both PvE and PvP.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Witch - Mercy
Every time I see this skin, I remember why people still fear turret corners. Dragon Symmetra turns her into a glowing, horned creature with claws and wings, it’s not subtle, but it’s stunning.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Dragon - Symmetra
No Halloween is complete without this guy lumbering around. Whether it was in Revenge or Masquerade, Monster Roadhog stayed iconic. That bolt-through-neck design never gets old.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Junkenstein’s Monster - Roadhog
You can't run Junkenstein modes without seeing this fit, it’s basically canon. Between the Tesla coils, the hair, and the voice lines, this was a must-have again.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Dr. Junkenstein - Junkrat
This one got a lot of play in Haunted Masquerade. The shredded dress and ethereal FX made it feel like Moira was actually haunting the lobby. Still one of the best “serious horror” skins in the whole game.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Banshee - Moira
Bit of a dark horse hit. This one leans into Korean folklore, with D.Va as a ghostly spirit and the mech looking like a cursed temple idol. Subtle FX, but eerie in the best way.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Shin-Ryeong - D.Va
Definitely less elegant than Witch Mercy, but creepier in the right ways. Her pale skin, stitched mask and eerie stare made her one of the most unsettling supports this year.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Zombie Doctor - Mercy
Easily one of the most on-brand skins for Halloween. The mech’s a jack-o’-lantern, Hammond’s a scarecrow, and it still plays well in PvP without blocking vision. Lowkey my favourite for fun runs.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Jack-O’-Lantern - Wrecking Ball
This one felt especially good in the Laboratory mode, Rein as a draugr (Norse undead) with spectral blue lighting, arrows in his armor, and a worn-down great helm. Total Halloween poster boy.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Draugr - Reinhardt
Honestly, the best new skin of Halloween 2025. The stitched teddy bear head looks goofy at first glance, but the more you see it in-game, the more messed up it feels. Zenyatta floating around like that? Terrifying.

▶️ Overwatch 2 Cursed Teddy - Zenyatta
They didn’t make the top 10, but these were everywhere:
Halloween Terror 2025 wasn’t just a nostalgia rerun, it gave us some properly unhinged skins, a wild new mode, and a reason to keep checking the shop. It didn’t matter if you were grinding Masquerade matches or running back-to-back Junkenstein clears, having the right look made it better. And even though the ghosts are gone (for now), most of the truly iconic Overwatch 2 Halloween skins are still within reach, especially the legacy ones. So next time the fog rolls in, you’ll be ready.
