The Dota 2 DPC 2022 is well underway with some excellent Dota on display. This week sees two of the top Western EU teams go head to head for the top spot in their group. Two-time TI winners OG will be playing Division 1 newbies Gaimin Gladiators on Wednesday.
It’s time for fans, players and bettors to get involved in Dota 2. There are going to be a ton of Dota 2 betting opportunities coming up in the run up to TI. Successful betting depends on knowing the current meta and how teams are performing so it’s certainly worth checking out these initial stages of the competition.
The Dota 2 DPC League never disappoints. In fact, just yesterday, matchups such as Liquid vs Entity proved huge. While many fans believed Liquid would easily take the series 2-0, Entity put up one heck of a fight that saw Liquid trying to push the high ground for over 15 minutes, even with the aegis.
The same can almost certainly be said for OG and Gaimin Gladiators this afternoon. This fight is less David and Goliath and more a clash of the titans. If you think you’ll be able to make the right predictions, your bet at the like of Bet365 could come really good.
OG have become a staple of the DPC’s Division 1 over the years and their new roster is still making some significant waves. Way back in 2018, OG claimed victory over PSG.LGD and raised the aegis at TI 8 for the very first time.
While fans may no longer be seeing the famous faces of Ceb, NoTail and Topson in front of the screen, they are still working behind the scenes to allow the new roster to take the centre stage. Alongside the coach that took them to TI10 last year (Misha, Mikhail Agatov), fans should also get to know Yuragi (Artem Golubiev), bzm (Bozhidar Bogdanov), Ammar (Ammar Al-Assaf) and Taiga (Tommy Le).
Meanwhile, Gaimin Gladiators are rather newer to Division 1 of the Dota 2 DPC 2022. The former Team Tickles made quite an impression last season, taking many teams by surprise and storming to the top of the group. In fact, they made such an impression that they were able to secure sponsorship, a huge feather in any pro team’s cap.
Headed up by captain Seleri (Melchior Hillencamp), it seems other Division 1 teams have been unprepared for the strategies and left Gladiators to take their place atop the group.
Famously unpredictable, Dota 2 betting is a great place to get started with eSports if you wish to get involved with all of the excitement. However, it is certainly worth putting in the leg work to understand the current meta and strategies involved alongside, of course, the top Dota 2 betting sites.
As Dota 2 becomes more and more popular (although it is already one of the top eSports games in the world), providers are beginning to compete with their odds. Bettors can also keep an eye out for eSports specific bonus codes. They are to ensure the top betting experience for new players and returning alike.
Some sites also provide an excellent opportunity for live Dota 2 betting. This means that if you see a match is beginning to go a certain way, bettors are able to change their bets or cash out early to avoid a larger loss. This is why understanding the game, the advantages and disadvantages of heroes, the item purchase timings and more will be what sets bettors apart from the other fans tuning in to enjoy the matches.
As always, it’s virtually impossible to make a call about who will win any given best of 3 in the Dota 2 DPC league. However, it seems that fans will almost certainly be guaranteed an exciting match up between veteran team OG and brand new up and comers Gaimin Gladiators.
The match is due to take place on Wednesday 6th April at 3 pm CET and is sure to be one of the hottest matches of the season. Ensure to tune in to the Dota 2 DPC League to catch all of the action live.
