Nikola “NiKo” Kovac is a legend in the Counter-Strike community. His remarkable skills as a rifler has led him to multiple victories in several tournaments. Emulating NiKo’s CS2 settings and crosshair might provide players with an edge when it comes to their own gameplay.2
Hailing from Bosnia and Herzegovina, NiKo is considered one of the best CS:GO players in the world, known for his flexibility and that prolific marksmanship. We compiled all of NiKo’s settings into one handy guide - his video, mouse and crosshair to give you an insight into how one of the best plays his game.

NiKo favors the Vaxee Zygen NP-01, which is known for its sturdiness. He used this for all his competitions last year, including IEM Cologne 2023 and Katowice, so we can’t argue with how well it works for him.
His other mouse configurations are as follows:
To gain that renowned aiming reputation, NiKo has maximized his crosshair in a way that optimizes precision. He uses a cyan color in order to stand out against the majority of backgrounds and uses a classic static style with no dot. This ensures that the target isn’t hidden in any way. The full settings are as follows:
| Crosshair function | Setting |
|---|---|
| Style | Classic Static |
| Thickness | 0 |
| Follow Recoil | None |
| Dot | None |
| Length | 2 |
| Gap | -4 |
| Outline | No |
| Color | Cyan |
| Color Distribution |
|
| Alpha | Yes |
| Alpha Value | 255 |
| T Style | No |
| Deployed Weapon Gap | No |
| Sniper Width | 0 |
Two words: stretched resolution. This allows NiKo to see players in the distance with far more ease and gives him a solid edge in the headshot game.
NiKo’s CS2 settings also include a medium shadow quality and low model and textures, no texture streaming and low effect and shader detail. NiKo prefers a higher frame rate over any sort of detail in his game… Which does seem to give him more of an advantage. However, I’m not sure how enjoyable it would be for the average player! Would you fancy playing your game with no detail?
As you’ve seen, it’s clear that NiKo uses some rather unusual settings and although they evidently work for him, they are something of an acquired taste. However, if you’re looking for something a bit different to try then use them and see what it does for your game.
