Let’s dive into some markets!

Best LoL Worlds 2026 prediction markets

What Do Prediction Markets Say About the Worlds 2026 Finalists?

The best prediction markets are usually very telling about who will make it far in this tournament, as these are legitimate markets that study the odds, the current market opinion and analysis of year round performance to determine who is most likely to make it to the finals this year. Honestly, with both Kalshi and Polymarket, the results are very similar.

Starting with Kalshi, they actually offer players a specific market for players to wager which teams will meet the finalists. The market is similar to who they predict the outright winner will be, but the markets show some overwhelming favorites that will reach this years final:

Team Implied chance of reaching final
Gen.g 49%
Bilibili Gaming 40%
T1 33%
Hanwha Life Esports 31%
Movistar Koi 10%

Kalshi worlds finalists

Kalshi is sticking with the favorite to win the whole tournament as a Finalist favorite, at an overwhelming majority of 50%, with BLG coming close behind at 40%. It’s important to note that these are individual percentages that determine the likelihood of a team meeting the final, not a market matching up two teams. Our Kalshi review speaks about this more, but they are usually on the button when it comes to their markets.

However, Polymarket are also no slouches, and their predictions look to be slightly different:

Team Implied chance of reaching final
Gen.g 52%
Hanwha Life Esports 30%
Bilibili Gaming 30%
T1 27%
G2 Esports 22%

Polymarket finalists

Polymarket also favor Gen.g to eventually make it to the finals here, and they do favor some similar teams favorably, like BLG and T1. However, Polymarkets markets are completely different: they give Hanwha a much better chance, and also don’t have the odds on BLG winning being as favorable. That is what we are talking about: there are a lot of similarities, but also some differences, that makes wagering on esports prediction markets interesting.

Most Likely Team to Reach the Worlds 2026 Finals

Kalshi and Polymarket have both called their shots. There’s definitely a lot of parallels in the top four teams they believe will crack the finals, so let’s take a deeper look into each of them.

Gen.G

Across both the Polymarket and Kalshi markets, Gen.G is definitely the strongest market-backed candidate. This makes complete sense given the year they’ve had in competitive LoL play, as they just keep consistently dominating every league and division they are in. They are ranked #2 in the Riot GPR rankings, and have a .789 win record, totalling in 33 wins and 9 losses.

They completely dominated the Korean league the LCK, with wins over the #1 ranked team and closest rival Hanwha Life Esports. They have been winning regional and international tournaments left and right this year, the only tournament they have yet to win is the Worlds itself. It comes as no surprise that they are the overwhelming market favorite.

Bilibili Gaming

BLG is the leading Chinese contender, who have delivered in their own right when it comes to their regional leagues. They are #3 ranked in the Riot GPR rankings, with a very high .814 win percentage. They won the International First Sand tournament at the start of the year, but they came up short in the finals of the Mid Season Invitational to Hanwha Life, who they have yet to defeat this year, nor have they beaten Gen.g.

Still, their dominance in the LPL is noteworthy, and they are the greatest Chinese contender to Korean dominance, so it is safe to stay that they could pull off some upsets to get to the Finals.

T1

When esports fans think T1, they think legends. T1 are arguably the most dominant team in competitive League of Legends history, winning six Worlds titles in total and constantly evolving to remain on top of the pecking order for nearly two decades. Their ability to perform in high pressure situations makes them a constant threat, which is why they frequently crack the top five markets to make it to the finals.

The only factor that prevents them from being considered higher favorites is recent performance. They are still ranked #5 in the Riot GPR rankings, but they have a win rate .644, and their current record is 29-16, which is not great. However, T1 are known to perform in this tournament, so it would not surprise anyone if they make it to the finals this year.

Hanwha Life Esports

Hanwha Life Esports is the other major Korean team that have been dominating the field. They are ranked #1 in the Riot GPR rankings right now, having a win record of 28-13. They won the MSI this year by defeating BLG in the finals, and they also have dominated most the field in international play.

The major reason the market ranks them lower is that they lost to market favorites, Gen.g, in the finals of the LCK this year. It does reduce the market odds likelihood of making it to the final, but we still this is still a strong market to buy into. The likelihood of seeing another Gen.g v Hanwha Life game in the finals is extremely high. Hanwha Life is just too strong a team to not go far in this years tournament.

Could a Dark Horse Reach the Worlds Final?

There is still a likelihood that a dark horse could reach the Worlds Finalists. The markets don’t favor the odds on these teams, but if you want to aim for an upset and potentially turn over a big profit, it’s worth considering these teams:

G2 Esports

This German side are the #1 seeded EU team, and also briefly reached the top 2 in this years MSI. Recent form could ee G2 score plenty of upsets this year.

Anyone’s Legend

Anyone’s Legend scored the upset of the year by defeating BLG in the LPL finals this year. While they have been inconsistent, their ability to deliver when it counts means they could score a series of upsets if underestimated.

Dplus KIA

Dplus earned their first international title by winning the Esports World Cup earlier this year, and also performing strongly in the LCK, so they are starting to find their rhythm. If they can keep up their success, they could certainly make it far in this years Worlds.

What Could Change the Finalist Predictions?

There are a number of factors that could potentially change who is considered to be the most likely to make it to the Grand Finals, and most of them are linked to performance. Here’s some factors that could change the markets that you should watch out for while following the Worlds:

  • Swiss stage results - The Swiss stage is a gruelling part of the Worlds, and can give any team a chance to leap ahead in th rankings. A team needs to win three matches to qualify for the knockouts, and if they lose three, they are eliminated. How consistently a team performs in the Swiss can greatly affect the market for the later stages.
  • Knockout bracket placement - After the Swiss stages, the knockout brackets usually pair the two undefeated, top performing teams against the worst performing teams in the Swiss stages, while the other four teams are randomly paired against each other. This gives the dominant teams a huge advantage, but teams with 3-1 records still have a chance to bounce back by beating some similarly performing teams.

How to Follow Worlds 2026 Finalist Predictions

As we have already covered, there are plenty of similarities in the Kalshi and Polymarket Finalist markets, but there’s also plenty of differences too. We cover this in detail in our Polymarket review, but the markets are heavily decided by the markets teams, who usually keep up to date with how the sports change and evolve by studying the games as they happen.

If you plan on using prediction markets this year, we would recommend doing the same. Follow both prediction markets as you watch the tournament unfold, from the Play-ins all the way throughout the Swiss stages, and see how the markets unfold on either brand. If you think there is more consistency on one brand rather than the other, then we would recommend wagering with that prediction market.

A market can technically exist without having meaningful trading activity, which can unfortunately be the case for several video game prediction markets. When it comes to the Worlds though, Kalshi and Polymarket seem to be two brands who are on top of their game.

Plenty of Potential Finalists in the 2026 Worlds

All in all, the jury seems to be out for both Kalshi and Polymarket. The two leading candidates that both markets seem to consistently agree on are Gen.g and Bilibili Gaming, with Gen.g specifically being highlighted as the overwhelming favorite to make it quite handily to the finals. However, both markets highlight some other teams: such as Hanwha Life, T1, and even G2 Esports, that also do have a solid chance of making it far to the finals.

Just remember, if you want to buy shares in this market: making it to the finals is tough and hard to predict, but it is a completely different goal than winning the Worlds. That’s something to keep in mind when you place your wagers, but all the same, we’d recommend checking out either prediction market to see which one offers the best market odds for you.
