Pick’Ems is back, and you already know we’re going to overthink every Swiss record until the lock timer kicks us out. Nothing has changed there.
Worlds 2025 Pick’Ems just launched on the official LoLEsports hub, with Crystal Ball predictions, Swiss picks, and a new feature called Factions. It’s all part of Riot’s slightly streamlined Pick’Ems setup this year. Fewer stages, more group bragging rights, and plenty of emotes to chase. Here's a full look at what’s live now, what’s coming, and what you’ll want to lock in before time runs out.

Worlds 2025 Pick’Ems is officially live on LoL betting sites, and this year’s version brings some welcome changes. The Play-Ins and Swiss are combined into one prediction stage, Knockouts will be picked all at once (no round-by-round pain), and the Crystal Ball meta predictions are back. Plus, there’s a new “Community Factions” layer, which is basically a side competition where the best-scoring group receives an exclusive emote.
Make sure to get your Crystal Ball and Swiss picks in before the first Play-Ins match kicks off. Rewards are tied to your performance across all Pick’Ems formats, with top prizes including a full set of Ultimate skins (yep, again) and tiered cosmetics based on how well you predict the mayhem.
Pick’Ems, if you’ve never bothered to enter until now, is Riot’s official prediction game tied to the League of Legends World Championship. You log in, guess things like who’s going 3–0 in Swiss or which champ gets perma-banned, and then sit back and hope.
This year, you can even join a Faction, which is Riot’s new way to divide the playerbase into semi-competitive teams. Each Faction’s average score is tracked, and the top one receives a bonus emote. It’s mostly bragging rights, but one more reason to not throw your Crystal Ball picks for memes.

Here’s what’s new this year:
Here’s the full timeline, so you don’t miss a lock.
| 🔍 Event | 🕑 Global Time |
|---|---|
| Pick’Ems Open | Oct 7, 11:00 PT |
| Swiss picks lock | Oct 14, before 16:00 CST |
| Knockouts open | Oct 25, after final Swiss |
| Knockouts lock | Oct 28, before 15:00 CST |
| Final match | Nov 9 |
Let’s look at what you’ll actually be doing at each phase.
This part is all predictions about the tournament as a whole, like most-picked champ, most kills, or highest KDA. You fill it out before Swiss starts, and you won’t know how well you scored until after the Final. Rewards are tiered based on your total accuracy, and Riot’s aiming to distribute those rewards by November 11.
These are bundled together. You’ll be asked to pick who qualifies and (new for 2025) what record they qualify with—3–0, 3–1, or 3–2. Swiss is five rounds, and it uses the familiar Buchholz pairing system. 1-0 teams play other 1-0 teams, and so on. Swiss picks lock before the first Play-In game, so make sure you’ve read the seeding info if you're chasing high accuracy.
This unlocks after Swiss ends on October 25. You’ll fill out your entire bracket at once, not round-by-round. That means no waiting for Quarters to end before you can pick Semis. You’ll be locking the whole thing by October 28, before the first Knockouts match.

Alright, let’s talk loot.
Riot says most rewards will arrive within 48 hours of the Final, and if something’s missing, you’ve got until November 17 to open a ticket.
This isn’t a betting guide, but if you’re trying to avoid the classic 0-pointer week, here are a few things worth keeping in mind.
Riot publishes the full Swiss layout in advance, so check how the first couple of matchups could snowball. Certain teams just don’t clash until later rounds, use that to your advantage when predicting clean 3-0s or messy 3-2s.
Worlds often drops in the middle of a patch curve. What works in Swiss might flop in Knockouts. Keep an eye on priority picks or role swaps between stages, it can totally shift momentum.
Every year, Pick’Ems punishes people who play it too safe. Some chalk is fine, but full “favorites only” lineups rarely hit. Take one or two upset swings. It’s usually worth it.

Look, we all know how this goes. You’ll spend two hours debating if G2 can 3–0 Swiss, second-guess your gut at the last second, and then act surprised when some wildcard team messes everything up in round two. But that’s the fun of Pick’Ems, right? You get to feel smart for a week, get mad at yourself the next, and (maybe) come out with some nice rewards if the stars align.
Get your predictions in, choose your Faction wisely, and may your Crystal Ball be kinder than last year.
