Looking for the latest up-to-date League win rates for January 2024? Don’t worry we’ve collected all of the data from various certified sources, and you can find a summary of all the need-to-know stats right here.
We have found the win rates for all of the LoL champions worldwide for the current patch (14.2). Using courses including LoLalutics and U.gg, we have been able to collect the rankings across several tier lists and roles.
The LoL community is constantly in a debate over how much credence should really be given towards win rates. Some value them above all else, while others feel that more factors determine the true strength of a champion.
Even if you don’t use the LoL winrates as your sole metric, it’s undeniable that it is an important statistic, alongside pick and ban rates. As well as helping you to decide which champions to play, these stats can also help with League of Legends live betting.
In all honesty, winrates don’t become hugely important until you reach Diamond rank and above. We’ve decided to concentrate only on the Emerald tier here, and you can find the top 10 ranked winrate champs below. The data has been taken from U.GG and LoLalytics and is correct at the time of writing:
Champion | Win Rate | Pick Rate | Ban Rate | Tier | Matches |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Maokai | 55.27% | 8.3% | 2.3% | S+ | 34,373 |
Zac | 54.05% | 1.8% | 2.1% | S | 7,476 |
Seraphine | 53.85% | 3.2% | 3.4% | S | 13,425 |
Lillia | 53.32% | 11.5% | 20.1% | S+ | 47,513 |
Brand | 53.30% | 10.9% | 15.6% | S+ | 44,970 |
Gragas | 53.17% | 1.0% | 1.6% | A | 4,119 |
Poppy | 53.16% | 1.6% | 2.4% | S | 6,685 |
Maokai | 53.07% | 1.0% | 2.3% | A | 4,164 |
Swain | 53.05% | 1.5% | 1.3% | S | 6,181 |
Ivern | 52.96% | 2.1% | 1.2% | A | 8,706 |
As we said above, League win rates should be your sole focus when deciding which champion to play or when using esports betting apps. Tier should also be considered as well as the number of matches played, as a larger sample size gives you a better idea of a champion’s perceived strength.
The ban rate is a good indication of how powerful a champion is, as the more bans one has, the more opposition players have wanted said champion blocked from their opponent’s lineup. The pick rate, on the other hand, gives more of an idea of a champion’s aesthetic appeal, rather than strength.
To be honest, if you are relatively new to LoL, then you don’t need to waste too much time considering win rates. However, if you are a diamond tier or higher, they are worth taking into consideration.
Ideally, you want to look at the bigger picture though, and consider all of the stats, including winrates, pick rates and ban rates. If you ask us, finding balanced champions is the most sensible approach to date.
