February 9th, 2021 saw the release of the latest patch update for Rocket League, v2.11 by its developers, Psyonix. This follows a string of patch updates over the past couple of months.
But what does it mean? Well, the official v2.11 patch notes haven’t actually been made available by Psyonix but don’t worry. We’ve been doing our homework, and we’re bringing you the latest info today. Most importantly, there are developments of new modes which could have an impact on professional eSports teams, upsetting the odds for tournaments! You don’t want to miss our v2.11 patch notes.
Because of the fact that Psyonix are being so mysterious with the patch updates, we can only pool together information from other sources and make predictions based on the feedback from the previous patch, v2.10, released on January 20th.
At the moment, it looks like we’re mainly going to see preparations for future patches this time around. The official Rocket League Status Twitter account tweeted ‘v2.11 prepares for future content releases’, so there might not be anything major this time around.
That being said, v2.10 was a pretty big one. It saw the announcement of the Rocket League Neon Nights event, a bunch of new items (including some of those from the Golden Moon) and the fact that Heatseeker Ricochet will be playable as an LTM for Rocket Labs Arenas.
If you like the idea of this patch (or any of the previous few) changing the face of Rocket League pro-gaming, you might want to use that to your advantage and have a punt or two on some upcoming events. Keep an eye on all the upcoming Rocket League events to find out where to do that.
We get the feeling that Psyonix are shaping up for something big with Rocket League having released a whole patch just to prepare for the next one. However, it’s impossible to know what that might be just yet. The team is keeping their cards very close to their chests!
For the time being, most of the scene will be drawn to the previous patch, v2.10. As mentioned, it saw the introduction of Neon Nights, and this will have implications for the pro-scene due to new tournaments being put in place or at least amendments to currently running tournaments.
With collaborations from the likes of musician Grimes, Neon Nights is looking like a pretty big deal. It’s an event for the casual player, but it could certainly change the way for the pro-league.
Remember, if you have an inkling as to how these patches will affect the pro-scene then you might have the one-up on the bookies! To try your hand to win some cash from that, you’re going to want to find the right bookie in the first place. Check out the best eSports bookies and you’ll certainly find the right one!
While it’s impossible to say exactly what the impact on betting will be from this update due to the lack of v2.11 patch notes, there have been a couple of big announcements recently that could shake up the pro-scene a little.
While Neon Nights is an event for the casual player, something that might change the pro-scene will be the Heatseeker Ricochet LTM. In this mode, every hit of the ball from your team will start to move towards your opponent’s goal, making scoring more likely. If the pros pick this up, it’s going to be carnage!
There are a few great places to bet on Rocket League eSports right now, but you’re going to want to find one that offers great odds and a wide range of markets on all your favorite sports and competitions. On top of that, you’ll probably want to cash in on a welcome bonus when you sign up for an account if you don’t have one already.
In our experience, a great all-rounder is Bet365. Not only do they have a wide range of markets for all the eSports games, but players in the US can enjoy a 100% matched deposit up to $200 on their first deposit when they sign up for a new account.
It’s a shame we haven’t been able to see the v2.11 patch notes but we’re confident there’s a good reason for that. The fact that Rocket League has been rolling out a bunch of exciting events and modes such as Neon Nights and Heatseeker Ricochet LTM recently means that it was only a matter of time before a slower patch came out.
Just get ready for v2.12. We have a feeling something big may be coming.
