Imperial fills spaces left by Fallen and chelo!

Lately, there have been quite a few player swaps in the CSGO scene, and one that took fans by surprise was Gabriel “Fallen” Toledo and Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes leaving Imperial to join Furia. With that, two spots were left to fill for Imperial, and it seems like that’s no longer the case. So, let’s dive deeper into who is going to replace both players in Imperial.

Fallen and chelo join Furia

After all the rumors as to where Fallen would be playing after he said that he was not sure of the future of the Imperial roster, we got to see that Furia was aiming for him and chelo – which was confirmed last week on Furia’s Twitter page.

Due to that, two openings for Imperial came up, and the organization made sure to look for replacements as soon as possible – an easy task since there were many benching's happening throughout the scene, which is especially the case for Brazilian teams.

HEN1 and felps are now in Imperial!

An official tweet on the topic confirmed to the fans that the two spots have been filled, one by João “felps” Vasconcellos and the other by Henrique “HEN1” Teles. Both players had been benched by their teams, respectively by Fluxo and MIBR.

VINI IGL?

With the absence of Fallen as the IGL, it became uncertain as to who would take the responsibility of leading the team – but that’s no longer the case.

Rafael “zakk” Fernandes, the head coach for Imperial, recently stated that Vini would be the one to lead the team for the seasons to come. Since this will be a first for the player, we’re not sure what to expect. Despite that, one thing is for sure, Vini had been performing very well.

What’s next for Imperial?

Well, from what we have so far, the new roster is going to do its debut in the IEM Cologne Play-in Stage – set to start on July 26th. The team will beagle to use this debut as an experiment round for the next appearances in the ESL Pro League 18 and at FireLeague 2023 Global Finals.
