IEM XVI Katowice 2022: What’s in store?

We’re counting down the days until the Intel Extreme Masters Season XVI 2022 kicks off in Katowice, Poland. From Tuesday 15th February through to Sunday 27th February, we’re going to see some of the most intense CS:GO action in the entire eSports annual calendar and we could not be more excited!

This offline tournament is considered to be one of the most prestigious tournaments in the whole world of eSports, let alone CS:GO. Over a decade of history precedes the event, making it one of the oldest on the calendar as well.

The format is broken down into a ‘play-in’ (a double-elimination bracket to determine which teams qualify out of those who haven’t qualified automatically), followed by the group stages.

IEM XVI Katowice 2022 has a total prize pool of a whopping $1,000,000 on offer, so one lucky team could walk away feeling very wealthy indeed with a top prize of $400,000. There’s even $180,000 going to the runners up!

But who’s it going to be? There are a lot of exciting teams to take part in this tournament, so let’s break down who looks good to put a bet on, which odds we’d be looking at for those teams and where to place those bets.

Formed in 2013, these guys have raked in over $3,000,000 in prize money playing CS:GO. There’s a very good chance they’ll add to that when IEM XVI Katowice wraps up.

Who’s winning the group stages?
