This Thursday Natus Vincere and Heroic entered the server looking to secure a spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals and by now you probably know who came out on top. Let’s dive deeper into the game to get a feel of how Heroic performed so well – especially on Nuke.
The maps chosen for this Bo3 were Mirage (picked by Natus Vincere), Mirage (picked by Heroic), and the decider ended up being Nuke. And in case you hadn’t noticed, Heroic had not lost a single map during the group phase – meaning that a lot of people had their hopes high to see a clean sweep.
Despite a very fast lead of 5x0 and a close 8x7 in the first half, Navi sort of stepped on the breaks and never recovered. The dominance of Heroic in this first map is clearly shown by the Ratings. From Navi, only s1mple got a rating above 1 (1.40), while Jabbi, Teses, and sjuush were also above 1.
On this map, Jabbi was the star player, boasting a whopping 28/16 with a Rating of 1.52.
Inferno was Navi’s chance to prove themselves, and that’s exactly what they did – even though the scoreboard was so tight. We should also note that Navi was even more dominant than Heroic had been on Mirage with 4 players reaching +1.18 Ratings.
With a solid win and the best rating of them all (1.39), s1mple was the best on the map.
There’s nothing we can say about this first half other than “complete domination”. By the end of it, Heroic had an 11x4 against Navi on Nuke’s T-side – arguably one of the hardest T-sides in the game. Some might have thought that the damage would be too much for Navi, but they made a good run for it before Heroic closed the deal.
Despite the second to-highest rating – being that stavn had the highest (1.48) – we have to say that Cadian was the best player on this map. With a Rating of 1.35, the leadership, and many decisive clutches throughout this decider, he surely deserves the credits.
Well, with this win Heroic make it to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals alongside Faze and Ninjas in Pyjamas. So, if you don’t want to miss out on that, stick with us and catch every bullet in these games to come.
