Furia joins TWC Europe Series 1 to replace GamerLegion

Furia has received and accepted an invite to replace GamerLegion in the TWC Europe Series 1 tournament. Coming from a not-so-great performance at IEM Cologne 2023, Furia has been given the chance to show up in TWC and prove that the new lineup was not a blunder.

First off, we must say that TWC Europe is not the most prestigious tournament at the moment, and that’s not a secret to anyone. With a $25000 prize pool and some unrecognized teams, Furia is a definite favorite for the title. And of course, Furia is not looking for the prize, but instead, they seem to want the confidence that comes with a victory.

As GamerLegion had a good seed in the competition, Furia is already in the Round of 16. In fact, Fallen and his teammates are already aware of their first faceoff. The first appearance will be against “500” this Tuesday (08/08/2023) – match that shouldn’t be mush of an issue for the Brazilians.

In the case of a win, Furia will have to go over two of the following teams:

Monte
Sinners
ITB
EF
Mouz
Team Sampi

Monte X Furia – Rematch in the Semi-Finals?

You might know that Furia and Monte played against each other at IEM Cologne 2023 – a match that ended in favor of Monte. With that said, we might be able to see a rematch in the Semi-Finals of TWC Europe Series 1.

As of right now, since they won the last faceoff, Monte is the favorite in the duel. Despite that, Fallen, chelo, yuurih, art, and KSCerato are constantly working to get the new roster in synchrony – which is something to keep in mind.

Who else can get to the Finals?

In the upper bracket, we have eight other teams fighting for a spot in the finals. Some of the big names on there are Virtus Pro, BIG, Sprout, and Apeks, all of which have pretty good chances of reaching the finals. The underdogs are ALTERNATE, AG, 9INE, and Looking4Org, but don’t be fooled as anything can happen in Counter-Strike.
