Fortnite Medallions have become a sought-after item in the game, allowing players to unlock exciting passive abilities. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the game, knowing how to get them is essential.
One of the coolest medallions you can earn is the Godzilla Medallion, which is available to unlock in the game right now. But, to receive this Medallion you’ll need to take on the mighty Godzilla boss in a game of Battle Royale. Deal the most damage to the boss and you’ll get your hands on this epic Medallion.
In Fortnite, Medallions are special items introduced in Chapter 5: Season 1. They are obtained by defeating specific bosses across the map. Once acquired, these Medallions grant you unique passive abilities that can significantly improve your gameplay experience. The Godzilla Medallion is the most recent, and the one I’ll be covering in this guide.
To obtain the Godzilla Medallion you will need to be the player who deals the most damage to Godzilla during any Fortnite Battle Royale match. However, for this to happen a Hollow Earth Rift Gate must spawn, which only has a 20% chance of appearing in each game. This portal will be marked on the minimap and allows any player to transform into the Godzilla boss.
However, since you will need to deal damage to Godzilla, you mustn't use this portal. Instead, wait for another player to use it, then follow these steps:
Remember, the Godzilla boss can also attack you directly during the fight, so avoid standing in the open where it can easily find you. Additionally, the Rail Gun can be found the same as any other weapon or item in the game - by collecting ground loot, looting chests, or supply drops. It is worth searching for a Rail Gun if you have time, as it provides the best damage and you could be competing against other players to receive the Medallion.
The Godzilla Medallion will reward you with a dash ability and the Exotic Burst Quad Launcher. Here is some more information on each of those features.
🔍 Ability | ➕ Functionality | 👍 Best for | 💡Limitations |
---|---|---|---|
Dash | Quickly reposition yourself during a fight. | Gaining a geographical advantage, escaping danger. | Up to three charges at a time. |
Exotic Burst Quad Launcher | Slow-moving projectile weapon affected by gravity. | High damage, destroying structures. | Slow projectile, easy for enemies to evade. |
Fortnite Season Six, Chapter One is expected to end sometime towards the end of this month, with Chapter Two expected to launch on the 21st of February. This presents an exciting opportunity for new updates, mechanics, weapons, and more. You might even find some new Fortnite Medallions to hunt down!
Additionally, 2025 will see a variety of Fortnite tournaments including the FNCS. These tournaments are always exciting to watch, as the best Fortnite players from around the world come together to put on a show for the fans. These events present an interesting opportunity to support your favorite players by backing them on Fortnite betting sites. Whether it’s picking who you think will win the tournament, or who will get the most kills, there are plenty of variables to choose from.
To summarize, Fortnite Medallions are a fun and engaging way for you to receive in-game boosts and abilities. This month you can claim the Godzilla Medallion by dealing the most damage to the Godzilla boss in a game of Battle Royale.
However, keep in mind you won’t find a Godzilla in every game, as there is only about a 20% chance that the portal required to create the Godzilla will spawn. If it does, remember to target the weak spots with high-damage weapons like the Rail Gun for the best chance of claiming this awesome reward!
