I’ve lost track of how many runs I’ve done in Fortnite Demon Rush this month, but I do know I’ve shouted at demon dogs and clutched with spicy ramen more times than I’d like to admit.
If you’ve been sleeping on it, Demon Rush is Fortnite’s score-chasing Halloween LTM where you mow down monsters, roll perks, and stack up high scores with mythic gear. It’s got permanent upgrades that kick in the more you play, a full quest track for freebies, and a roguelite vibe that kind of hooks you. It’s live through November 1, so there’s still time to get weird.

Demon Rush is Epic’s newest LTM and kind of a wild ride. It takes the Horde Rush formula (waves, bosses, score attacks) and gives it a full K-Pop Demon Hunters makeover, complete with mythic gear, upgrade stations, and perks between rounds. You fight, you loot, you level up, and you chase the high score while unlocking buffs that carry over into future runs. It’s PvE Fortnite with a roguelite core. And yes… you’ll want to squad up.

Each match follows a familiar loop once you know how. If you're new or to Fortnite betting sites, here’s how it unfolds:
You drop into a stylized chunk of the BR Island with a safe starting area. Grab a basic weapon, break stuff for ammo, and get ready. No sweaty build fights here, just PvE from the jump.
Each wave throws more demons at you. There are standard mobs, tougher elites, and the occasional mini-boss. Later rounds might make you move with a storm zone, forcing mobility. You rack up score by stringing kills and avoiding knockdowns.
Between rounds, you get a breather. This is when you can:
You always get one free reroll on Perks, but extra rerolls cost shards. Plan ahead.
Late waves are brutal. Bosses start to feel tanky, and you really start to appreciate perks like Health on Kill or starting with purple weapons. If you’ve been saving shards, now’s the time to flex. For example, on one of my early runs, I waited to upgrade until wave 4, then slammed all my Monster Parts into a rare AR and added a reload-speed Perk. That totally bailed me out during a boss phase with no cover.

The Hunter Rank progression is where Demon Rush separates itself. Every run gives XP toward your rank, and hitting new levels gives you permanent buffs like:
So those shaky early games, they’re not wasted. Every run improves your odds next time. The more you play, the more cracked you get, even if your aim isn’t perfect.
These aren’t just shiny crossover items, they matter in Demon Rush. Here’s the quick rundown:
It’s a fast melee weapon with a charged shockwave slash. Perfect for mob-clearing or dashing into a boss's face. Pair it with melee-enhancing Perks and you’ll feel unstoppable.

It heals you and gives a short movement buff. Ideal when you’re repositioning mid-wave or need a speed boost to clutch a revive.

A throwable dome that blocks damage, use it to rez, reload, or just chill while you pick your next Perk. You’ll thank it during tight final phases.

Toss a tear, hit teleport, and boom you’re gone. It’s great for escaping boss traps or dodging a swarm. Just watch your charges. These mythics are also part of the wider Demon Hunters crossover and appear in BR/Blitz during the event window.

If you’re just getting into Fortnite Demon Rush, here’s what helped me:
You can’t deal damage if you’re dead. Health Regen, Overshield buffs, and revive speed are way more useful in the early rounds than going all-in on damage.
You’ll collect pink shards (Monster Parts) constantly. Use them. Upgrading blue weapons to purple or buying new gear keeps your pace up as the waves ramp harder.
Don’t just throw them for fun, save them for critical moments like reviving a teammate, stalling during Perk rerolls, or dodging a surprise boss slam.
You can hire Rumi, Mira, or Zoey in-run. They help. Extra damage, distraction, and revive cover make a huge difference when things get wild.
The mode runs from October 2 to November 1, 2025. That’s your whole spooky month window. After that, we have no clue if it’s coming back, so get in now.

Fortnite’s Demon Rush isn’t trying to out-sweat FNCS or be the new Reload. It’s arcade-y, and it’s fast. With the right upgrades and Perks, you go from panicked mouse clicks to full squad carry in 20 minutes. More importantly, it just feels good. You see bigger numbers, you unlock buffs, you jump back in. It’s Fortnite in roguelite mode, with a K-Pop aesthetic, anime swords, and speed noodles. What’s not to love?
Get your squad together, throw on some perks, and get demon-hunting. You’ve got till Nov 1… then the bubble pops.
