  • The 14 Days of Summer event ended on 8 July 2025 at 9 a.m. ET, locking all daily quests and unvaulted items.
  • Players could get up to 75,000 XP from 14 daily quests and one hidden bonus challenge. Just under a full Battle Pass level.

Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer Event Ends: Recap, Rewards, and What’s Next

When I logged in this morning, the summer music was still playing, but the quests were gone. If you blinked, Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event came and went faster than a Shockwave Hammer bounce.

The timer officially hit zero on the Fortnite summer event on Tuesday 8 July 2025 at 9 a.m. ET, which means it’s already over as of today. Whether you grinded every day or just dropped in for the free back bling, here’s the full breakdown of what happened, what’s sticking around, and what’s next.

Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer

What just ended (and when)

Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer ran from 24 June through 8 July 2025, right in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 3 “Super”.

Every day brought something new for exactly 24 hours:

  • 1 unvaulted item
  • 1 limited-time mode (LTM)
  • 1 daily XP quest worth 5,000 XP
  • And fresh Item Shop cosmetics

How we got here

The summer event landed right after the Death Star Sabotage live event, kicking off on 24 June and delivering daily surprises through to the 8 July cut-off.

It followed the same structure as previous Fortnite summer fests on Fortnite betting sites. Quick quests, nostalgic weapons, and a lot of “wait, when did this come back?” moments. The Chapter 6 “Super” theme made everything feel extra comic-book-y too, with XP feeding directly into a Battle Pass packed with capes and hero gear.

Day-by-day recap of Fortnite’s summer event

Here’s every item that came back and the XP quest it brought with it. If you missed a day, it’s gone… for now.

#️⃣ Day 💡 Item Unvaulted ✅ Quest Objective
1️⃣ Grapple Gloves Swing 5× without touching the ground
2️⃣ Ex-Caliber Rifle Land a direct hit
3️⃣ Kinetic Boomerang Eliminate an opponent
4️⃣ Shockwave Hammer Knock back opponents 2×
5️⃣ Rocket Launcher Destroy 15 objects
6️⃣ Boogie Bomb Make an opponent dance
7️⃣ Minigun Destroy a vehicle
8️⃣ Hammer AR Deal 100 damage without reloading
9️⃣ Pump Shotgun Deal 150 damage within 10m
🔟 Balloons Deal 50 aerial damage
1️⃣1️⃣ Suppressed Sniper Eliminate from 50m+
1️⃣2️⃣ Chains of Hades Pull opponents 2×
1️⃣3️⃣ Ballistic Shield Block or deal 50 damage
1️⃣4️⃣ Thunderbolt of Zeus Eliminate an opponent

A few standouts definitely changed the meta. Especially the Shockwave Hammer, which let you rotate like it was Chapter 4 again. Also seeing Balloons back for just 24 hours felt like a callback to Season 9.

One hidden quest snuck in too

While most players focused on the daily 5,000 XP quests tied to unvaulted items, there was also one bonus task that didn’t show up in the standard quest log.

✅ Eat ice-cream cones

Scattered around the map during the event, ice-cream cones could be found and consumed for a secret 5,000 XP reward. It wasn’t listed anywhere in-game, so unless you stumbled across it (or caught the community buzz online), it was easy to miss.

Despite earlier rumours, there were no extra hidden quests for the Tactical Shotgun, SMG, or Assault Rifle. Those were either standard dailies or disabled entirely. Chains of Hades and Thunderbolt of Zeus were also listed in patch previews but never went live.

✅ Here’s how the XP broke down

70,000 XP from the 14 daily quests + 5,000 XP from the hidden ice-cream challenge = 75,000 XP total.

That’s just shy of one full Battle Pass level for most players, depending on whether you had supercharged XP active.

Fortnite 14 Days of Summer

Free cosmetics and milestone rewards

If you were consistent, you may have hit one (or more) of the summer XP milestones. Here’s what you could unlock just by doing quests with no V-Bucks needed.

👍 Level Milestone 🏅 Reward 🔎 Type
4 Quests Surf’s Up, Peelshark Spray
8 Quests Lil Quill Back Bling
12 Quests Chocolate Cherry Emoticon
16 Quests Cactus Club Pickaxe

What still counts now that it’s over

The 14 Days of Summer event is officially done and dusted. But if you jumped in during the window, whether it was Day 1 or Day 14, everything you unlocked is yours to keep.

That means:

  • All XP obtained goes straight into your Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass.
  • Cosmetics like sprays, pickaxes, emoticons, or back bling are permanent additions to your locker.
  • Any milestone progress from completed quests will stick, even if you didn’t hit all 16.

The quests themselves are gone. The tab disappeared as soon as the timer hit zero on 8 July, and there’s no way to claim missed rewards retroactively. If you forgot to log in on Boogie Bomb day or never got around to grabbing the Cactus Club pickaxe, that’s it.

14 Days of Summer Fortnite

More exciting times ahead

With the summer event wrapped, Superman arrives 11 July, right alongside the new film. You’ll be able to unlock the skin (and powers) through a new Battle Pass Questline. There’s also talk of new POIs, a flight mechanic, and maybe even a Krypto companion, but nothing confirmed by Epic yet. Chapter 6 Season 3 runs until 8 August, so expect a mini-event or one last LTM push around 15 July. Epic loves stacking content mid-season.

Summer’s out

If you popped in daily or just spammed the Rocket Launcher once, Fortnite’s summer event definitely dropped some nostalgia, brought back fun LTMs, and handed out a few quirky cosmetics. Even if you missed a couple of days, there was still up to 75,000 XP on the table. That’s almost a full Battle Pass level depending on your tier. With Season 3 ticking toward its final weeks, that kind of bonus can make a real dent.

So clear your quest log, ride the XP wave while you can, and suit up. Because Superman’s flying in next.
