Nico “Nicoodoz” Tamjidi, a revelation in the CSGO scene after his great seasons in Copenhagen Flames, is about to be let go from the Fnatic roster – at least, that’s what was reported by Dexerto. What can we expect to come out of this situation? Let’s dive deeper…
After his great appearances while playing for Copenhagen Flames, Nicoodoz became a target for some of the best teams in the scene – one of them being Fnatic, who made sure to follow through with the negotiations to secure the youngster.
With high expectations at only 22 years old, the pressure on Nicoodoz might have been a bit too high. Why do we say that? Well, when comparing his performances while on Fnatic against what he brought to the table on Copenhagen Flames, the reason becomes clear.
In short, his performance fell quite a bit after he joined Fnatic – where he averaged a 1.08 rating during the last year. Not a bad rating, but not what Fnatic was expecting from the player that, single-handedly, destroyed some of the best teams in the world when in CF.
Being a team that, throughout the years, has left quite a mark in every championship, Fnatic was expected to do great in the last CSGO Major in history – Blast.tv Paris – but that was not the case…
With an underwhelming performance that put the team in the 9-11th place and some other surprising losses, the managers knew that something was not clicking. Unfortunately for Nicoodoz, they might see him as the problem – but is he the only one to blame? Well, Fnatic doesn’t seem to see it that way.
Alongside Nicoodoz, we might see other players leave the team until the Summer Season starts – with some sources saying that the team might keep only 2 out of the 5 current players. Who will stay? We’re not sure, but “roeJ” is likely to be one of the 2 who will welcome new hires in the future.
We can’t give a definitive answer to this at the moment. Despite that, we can definitely say that he will be on the market and, of course, open for offers that may come – after all, he doesn’t have much of a choice.
